too early for either of them, IMo
isn't there a reason that the british - european - world route is so tried and tested?

A Tommy Egan press release?
I would take all these articles with a huge pinch of salt I'm afraid.

Cruz is a seasoned pro, been round the block and if you going to beat him you have to be dureable as he last the rounds and is prepared to travel, to early for either appleby or lindsay but great to see two good young fighter willing to put zero loss record on the line. someone like Salido first who can be put down

A good fight for the winner would be current European champ Oleg Yefimovych or former champion Cyril Thomas, who recently gave Cruz a good fight.

thats the route either boxer should take as the winner will be (i think) the mandatory for EBU champion. yefimovych is definately a winnable fight for appleby or lindsay. wouldnt rule out a fight against simpson for the winner (rematch in applebys case)

Would like to see the winner fight Choi in an IBF eliminator.... thats the route Appelby/Lindsay need to take eventually (Cruz is the weakest champion). ...but dothink its a fight or two early.

Yep I think its a huge shame Choi has been overlooked since destroying Derry Mathews. He looked far more impressive than Martin Lindsay did. Although Appleby doesn't fancy facing him either I don't think - who can blame him!stujones wrote:Would like to see the winner fight Choi in an IBF eliminator.... thats the route Appelby/Lindsay need to take eventually (Cruz is the weakest champion). ...but dothink its a fight or two early.

Cracking football style atmopshere at the weigh-in just now. I didn't get any video footage but had the trusty dictaphone with me so should put up a bit of audio later if I remember.

None of them are ready for the World Scene I think Appelby has the potensial but i would like him to stay domestic for 1 or 2 more fights and then move to the European and then world then thell be ready for it
