Taylor always seems to be nervous, i still think nerves are a good thing, its how he controls them that matters

Froch to stop Taylor in about 10 rounds

Not everyone can be David Haye :P
Re: Froch 167 and Taylor 166
Apparently Taylor looked smooth at the weight, not really cutting a big impression.
I know looks count for nothing, but i heard he was nervous as f*ck too.
Wheras Carl owned the place.

Taylor is a big Middle, but a Small SM compared to Froch.G0mez wrote:Apparently Taylor looked smooth at the weight, not really cutting a big impression.

On the confidence front it looked the other way around at the Pascal weigh in, Froch looked a bit edgy at the stare off.G0mez wrote:Apparently Taylor looked smooth at the weight, not really cutting a big impression.

By smooth at the weight do you mean it looks like he has cut a lot of weight as looking at the pics I think he looks pretty good, not ripped to shreds like I'v sometimes seen him. I expected to see him quite weight cut to be honest.
Re: Froch 167 and Taylor 166
Taylor is probably thinking that it is last chance saloon for him at the top level, and knows he needs to win adding on extra pressure.
Re: Froch 167 and Taylor 166
on the BBC press conference clips it looked the opposite, Taylor relaxed and Froch very stiff.
I like Froch, but starting to feel like this is more Tarver vs Woods than Calzaghe vs Lacey.

I had heard about that.Terry D wrote:Taylor suffered from a childhood stutter and always talks nervously at this type of thing.
I still think Froch is the hungrier fighter and will win in style.
Re: Froch 167 and Taylor 166
Froch looks bigger. Not by much, but look at his frame. Taylor's going to need his skills if he's going to win.
Re: Is Taylor nervous...
Without ever hearing about the stitter i would have put it down to being a bad public speaker . The closer to the fight i get the more i think its a taylor win , hope im wrong.

I think he always looks nervous.
Re: Is Taylor nervous...
For once DG I agree with you........... shit
I think Taylor is shitting himself - I thought he would win fairly easily before this.
Changing my mind and think Froch may KO him now
Hope so

Re: Is Taylor nervous...
Froch usually looks very nervous before all his fights, as well.
Taylor, as has been said above, isn't a great speaker in public. There aren't really THAT many interesting or articulate personalities in boxing.
This is a great chance for Froch. Taylor may not be the same after those Pavlik fights. Is the killer instinct there, does he really believe he can take the shots of a strong super middleweight? Will something give when he is pushed?

as if Froch is going to just stand there and give his title away.sendo wrote:on the BBC press conference clips it looked the opposite, Taylor relaxed and Froch very stiff.

Re: Is Taylor nervous...
Taylor has a great jab, if he gets that going then Froch may find it hard to get inside to land his shots. Taylor's wins over Hopkins shows he knows how to deal with awkward boxers, Froch looks best when a boxer takes it to him, he gets to land his uppercuts and sharp right hands, i think this one is going to be a bit of a chess match to start off with.
50/50 fight for me,

Re: Froch 167 and Taylor 166
Froch just ships too many shots for me. If he had just a slightly better defence and a slightly better workrate I can see him winning, but he will just take too many hard shots from Taylor, who I think wants this just as badly.
Taylor by UD or dare I say late stoppage.

Re: Froch 167 and Taylor 166
froch looks ripped....but, his defence is poor. if you are behind after 10 rounds against brian magee then you are going to be behind after 10 rounds against jermaine taylor...
froch needs to KO him, simple as that. froch ships too many shots to beat a skilled marquee fighter on points.

Re: Froch 167 and Taylor 166
He wasn't behind against Magee surely.
Re: Is Taylor nervous...
that's what we need more of, 50-50 fights
