Re: Carl Froch still champion
You should probably change the title as some people may want to avoid the result until the ITV show
Re: Carl Froch still champion
good point and good call 1 down, 1 to go
Re: Carl Froch still champion

Re: Carl Froch still champion
that fight wont do him no harm at all.. very exciting from both sides with a tremendous KO.. how many times do you see a fighter hurt his man and rush in like a bull in a china shop but Froch timed and lined him up perfectly. Also thought Taylor was very gracious in defeat might i add.

I thought it was hennesys fault im sure the stations would have shown itU.F.O wrote:and what a disgrace that most of the U.K didn't get to see it.

Re: What a great great fight
id imagine its a given the next one will be shown for sure!!!
Re: What a great great fight
That was a great ending. Even if the fight had been complete shit to that it would of been worth watching. Last second come from behind knock outs are what makes boxing so great. Anything can happen at any time. After being pissed off about the mismatches in Germany today, I was greatly cheered up by this fight.
Re: Carl Froch still champion
massive scalp for froch. i didn't realise how in deep he was, vs taylor's speed and experience, away from home.
no shame being behind on points and stopping taylor.
i believe froch is better than he looked tonight. because of vulnerabilities, it might make kessler and bute fights easier to make.
if nothing can be made soon, how about allan green? green apparently looked good stopping de leon jr.
come from behind KO in his 1st title defence. how many ppl take that kind of risk. well done froch.

Much more willing to go out and take risks than most of the so-called British elite or his super middle co champs.
Took the risk, vs quality foe, away from home. Thankfully he scored that late win.
He should take Taylor's nickname, as it is Froch who has Bad Intentions, in terms of taking a massive risk fight.
OK he needed to do something big with his career, but you sense this guy would not be happy defending a WBO title vs someone like maselino masoe (as the talented balzsay did tonight)!
2 thrilling wins in a row. I hope he gets more big fights like Bute and Kessler. I have little doubt who will be chasing these fights.

Re: Carl Froch still champion
the top 10 wbc challengers are:
1. Jermain Taylor (US)
2. Andre Ward (US) NABF
3. Andre Dirrell (US)
4. Jean Pascal (Haiti/Canada)
5. Karo Murat (Germany) EBU
6. Anthony Mundine (Australia)
7. Edison Miranda (Colombia)
8. Robert Stieglitz (Germany) INTL
9. Sakio Bika (Cameroon)
so im taking it Froch can fight anyone in his next fight?

Re: Carl "Bad Intentions" Froch
We need more fighters like froch and haye who take risks and reek the rewards.
Re: Carl "Bad Intentions" Froch
Karoly Balzsay won the WBO 168 belt from Denis Inkin around the time that Froch beat Pascal. He made his 1st defence tonight...vs Sturm-victim Maselino Masoe!
Froch's Intentions much badder - puts these guys to shame.
Kessler - fighting Gusmyl Perdomo next.
Bute - still hasn't cleared up Andrade controversy.

Re: Carl Froch still champion
Doesn't he have to face 2 mandatory challengers as he won the vacant title?
Re: Carl "Bad Intentions" Froch
Taylor was Froch's mandatory. Perdomo is Kessler's mandatory. Both guys need to keep their belts.Autobarn wrote:Karoly Balzsay won the WBO 168 belt from Denis Inkin around the time that Froch beat Pascal. He made his 1st defence tonight...vs Sturm-victim Maselino Masoe!

Re: Carl "Bad Intentions" Froch
Taylor was treying to avoid taking his mandatory shot. Like he passed on the vacat title fight.
His promoter tried to get Pascal, and almost made a fight with Allan Green!
If Hennessy and Froch hadn't chased this, Froch would have been fighting someone like De Leon Jr!

Echoes of Nigel Benn. Well done, Carl.
Re: I can't sleep lads!
Same as that but this fight may well have the most un needed threads started about it

Re: Carl "Bad Intentions" Froch
What fantastic news. I can't wait to see it tonight. What a breath of fresh air Carl Froch is. A poke in the eye to all the cynical, safety-first fighters and promoters that have polluted this glorious sport. Now boxers like Froch and Haye are setting the standard it'll make it harder for these frauds to peddle their bogus matches. I'm convinced some of Froch's haters are industry insiders who are afraid that people like him are changing the game.
As for Calzaghe - I have been a huge fan of his over the years and I still am, but there should be no excuses now. He said he retired because there were no more challenges out there, not because he was old, injured or had fallen out of love with the game. He cannot pretend that challenge doesn't exist now - and it's right here on his doorstep.

Re: Carl "Bad Intentions" Froch
Reading a lot of the articles in America - Taylor is bleating he wants a rematch - Froch should tell him to f*ck right off.
I am stunned Froch had to get off the canvas in the 3rd!!!
Bloody brilliant win.

Loved the yanks chatting in the background f*cking hilarious!!!
Re: Carl Froch still champion
I'd try and make Froch v Mundine, two loud and brash personalities, England v Australia(although I'd suspect a lot of Aussies would be cheering on Froch), prime time UK it'd be a treat.jammidodger wrote:the top 10 wbc challengers are:
