I dont think he was outboxed he looked good the first 3 rounds and he was leading 30-25, 30-26 and 30-25 on the scorecards

i agree he did look dangerous but the ref got him this many points ahead

I guess this is about the best time to make my first post on here.....

I thought Danny had a chance, but I wasn't expecting him to survive the bombs he did, let alone find the K.O.. Fair play Danny, for finally providing the performance we all knew you had. I'm delighted to be proved very wrong.

And, on the plus side, Audley Harrison should now realise he actually has to do something.

Congrats, Danny Williams. No matter how shot Tyson was, there weren't many people saying you'd win before. But I bet there's a few more now. Great performance.

So sad to see Tyson like that.

Watch the 1st round again... Tyson did hurt his knee. Jim gray said that in the post fight interview with Shelly Finkle but of course Sky didn't investigate it. Maybe they would have if it wasn't a British fighter who won. Gray accepted that Tyson hurt his knee ad had probably seen replays. Tyson looks to the ref and nearly falls backwards. Darkie thought he was complaining about a head butt, but he wasn't.

tyson hit danny with big big shots in the final 3 rounds. I was watching it in disbelief. Especially a BIG HUGE right hand that Williams would not have usually been able to take. Williams must have been in damn good shape. I don't think Tyson got the leverage he usually gets because of his knee?? because Williams simply cannot take those shots from Tyson if they are thrown properly.

I really would like to believe that tyson had a knee problem (being a big tyson fan) but i think it is honestly a load of crap. It was saddening to see Tyson beaten again. I wanted him to win and really thought he would. But knew that Danny Williams had the talent required to cause an upset, so i put a tenner on Danny Williams to win at odd of 13-2. So thats my compensation for seeing Tyson get beat.

Think i win about £65, is that right? Im terrible with odds. Never bet on a fight in my life

I mean I followed Williams for some time and really had given up on him, after the Sinan Sam fight and then his return to British level I just thought he would never make the step up.

Where do both fighters go now, will Tyson continue for the money, will Williams be in line for a title shot next.

I would personally like to see Williams fight someone like Hasim Rahman, another world class fighter nearer his prime, it would be a good test and victory would most likely put him in line for any of the main title holders.

As for Tyson he is an all time great, as Holyfield there places in the all time greatest was already set no matter what happened in more recent times but can anyone beleive he can make it at top level anymore.

Agreed. Even though I know Tyson is a shot fighter, I didn't think that Danny Williams had the heart to him. I had decided he'd gone even before the Sam fight. He looked extremely shabby against Keith Long, and should've finished Sprott off quicker then he did in the first one. Sam fight just confirmed what I already thought. I always thought that a fighter with heart could beat Tyson, but didn't think Danny was it. Shows me, I suppose.

Still if this means it'll shut up those guys who keep going on about how Tyson is back at his prime then I don't mind. But it does mean we'll have to listen to Danny give it large for a bit. :x

Can't blame him really. I wonder what Audley, Hide and Sprott all think about this.

On a side note - makes you think it would be a bad idea for Bowe and Ibeabuchi to come back.

Well I'd got to the point where I thought Danny Williams would actually lose to Audley as his confidence was so low, and took so long to warm up in a fight. Which he did in the Tyson fight. But after absorbing what Tyson threw at him his confidence must be way back. Lets hope this leads onto him become a much better fight.

Totally agree. If Danny hadn't been inspired - or if it had been Kevin McBride - the Tyson bandwagon would have rolled merrily along after an early knockout. Well done Danny!

I predict a sixth-round knockout for Mike - with the help of dodgy refeering. That bastard certainly tried his best. Took off two points and then gave a long count to Tyson. Again, incompetent or corrupt - you decide. Fortunately Danny put it beyond his jurisdiction!
