Tyson was okay in the first and shit for the rest. He's done. Screw the 7 fight plan and call outs to Vitali Klitschko. Tyson is just fighting for the money now if he fights again at all.

Well I've always said that Tyson was a has-been, nobody ever listened. I hope they will now.

Still, I have been saying since Sprott 1 that Danny Williams was crap too. I guess I may have to revise that one.

Well I'm shocked!!

I knew Tyson was shot but still thought he had too much for Danny, how wrong was I? I was also wrong about Danny freezing on the night.

Tyson looked as good as you could expect a ring rusty 38 year old to look, he was throwing some good hard shots and was showing at times good handspeed and even glimpses of a good jab.

But hats of to Danny he took some terrific shot that would have finished off many other Heavyweights and for once his temprement and mental approach was spot on. He soaked up the early onslaught and showed Tyson that he was there to win. Tyson then slowed down in the later parts of the 3rd and into the 4th round which gave Danny the oppertunity to land his own power punches.

Danny took full advantage of Tysons slowing workrate and shown a great finishing instinct to hurt, pummle then drop the ageing former Champ. I think Tyson could of got up if he wanted to but Tyson understands Boxing and Boxers and knew he was only going to get more of the same.

Danny Williams I say congratulations for a tremendous performance against a faided but still dangerous fighter and biased hometown referee.

As for Tyson his career at the top level is over, his punch will always make him dagerous but all I can see ahead for him our freakshow fights against Butterbean or Valuev. Either that or off to the world of K1.

well done to Danny, he took alot of shots in the first couple of rounds, then didn't let the ref get to him when he was deducted 2 points.

the final couple of barrages that he threw were great.

Tyson is finished really, any heavyweight that can get past the first couple of rounds with him will beat him now. i think he should retire, but with his debts there is always the possibility that he will go over to Japan for the K1 series there. I for one hope not.

That isn't to say i feel sorry for him, i think he blew more money than all of us will ever see. Thats his own fault, he can blame the whole world, but at some point its down to the individual.

I don't think Japan will have him because of his rape conviction, but I agree it could be off to K1 for Tyson, but in the U.S.A. as like you said he needs the money.

Brother, Tyson looks all his 38 years on the floor. Didn't watch the fight (the build-up fights were too poor). I think I missed something special.

It was a good fight mate, worth picking up a copy of. For Williams performance and 'historical' reasons.

Does anyone know when the fight will be shown on normal Sky tv (not PPV)?
I suppose they might show it with the Morales show on sunday morning.

Immediately after the fight I was thinking the BBC took another look at boxing following 3 of Britains greatest achievements in recent years (Lewis beating Holyfield, Audley Harrison's Olympic gold and Lewis' KO of Tyson - which afterwards saw them sign up fighters).

So I thought, will this great win inspire another terrestial channel to look at boxing? I thought it might have a chance untill I flicked over from the PPV to watch the ITV news and them to mention the result as the THIRD biggest Sporting headline, behind a few non-important football friendlies.

what a performance by danny!!
i owe him an apology.
people will try and play this down and say tyson was shot but iron mike looked in great shape, and danny went to the well to survive the onslaught. but he never went to the well in terms of hanging on for grim death, danny sucked it up and fought his way out of the hole toe to toe.
if williams would have succumed to one of those shots everyone would be saying tyson is back.
that was one exciting fight. the exchange that lasted for about half a minute at the end of the second (i think) was like something out of rocky, the crowd were on their feet cheering.
not many fighters would have got through those first two rounds.
if he can keep that kind of punch resistance the sky`s the limit for danny.
others have outboxed tyson but thats the first time i`ve seen him outgunned.

However I wasn't very impressed by the referee, not the worst I've ever seen but still below the standard required IMO.

At one point I thought Danny was going to get DQ'd or even the referees actions may have distracted Danny and made him lose focus.

Wonder what Herbie Hide's thinking now after his fight with Danny was called off, he's probably thinking that could have been him had he beaten Danny. Same with Audley, he'll be incredibly jealous of the publicity Dannys getting.

Why the hell didn't Danny fight Samil Sam like that? He hardly threw a punch against Sam, he should have used that guy as a punch bag. He can throw some serious punches when he wants but just doesn't do it often enough, maybe a lack of a killer instinct.

Excuse the language, but I am absolutely fornicating gutted by the result. I am a real, real Mike Tyson through and through.

We all knew Tyson is years away from his best, and know he will never be the same again, but I thought he would have beaten Danny Williams.

However, before everyone starts counting Tyson out and saying he definitely finished etc, at the end of the first round Tyson twisted his left knee. When he went back to his corner after the first, he told Freddie he could not pivot properly, and he could not turn over the left hook properly.

People may feel I am just making excuses, but that I am not, because that's the last thing Mike Tyson would do.

I have been in a BAD mood all day because of the result and so has my brother. I felt like crying for Mike Tyson.

Hell, the man should not even be figting now. He should have been retired years ago, millions and millions in the bank and savouring the fruits of his labour. Instead of that, he is now fihting for money - man, this is a cruel world sometimes.

We all know Tyson has lived dangerously over the years, squandered the money, but people have taken advantage of him. Don King is no good, no good at all. The man is a snake. I wish I was there when Tyson booted him in the face in Los Angeles in 1998!

Words really cannot describe how I feel. It does not go away after a while, a few hours etc. I felt the same when he lost to Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis.

Another thing, Freddie Roach is a good trainer who means well for Tyson. Roach is honest and a good dsciplined man. However, Tyson cannot be in great shape when 233lbs, 16st 9lbs. He may have looked solid and in shape, and I admit, he looked a lot more solid than when he foguht Lewis, but that is simply to heavy for him. At the most, Mike should be weighing 224 lbs, no more than that.

I am going to see how the press react to the result. If they start slagging Mike off etc, like they have done for years, I will be writing to the newspapers and magazines etc.

Mike Tyson is a legend, an all time great heavyweight. It saddens me to see what is happened to him, it really is a shame. There is not, and I am sure will not, be a more sad and emotional story in the sport, than the one of Mike Tyson.

A decision needs to be made on his future, and quick. I hope he does not just sit around and over-eat and put on loads of weight, then come back again. If he is going to box again, it needs to be ASAP. As soon as the left knee heels etc.
