No bottling at all.
I've no doubt there will be formal releases in due course.
He is Co Managed by Wazza and Coldwell.
Essentially due to contractual disputes Managerially, Rhodes was placed in an impossible situation.
Both have allegiances to differing Promotional outlets.
Remember Small is Managed and Promoted by Wazza.
The situation is very complex.
Rhodes has therefore voluntarily relinquished the title to enable those aspiring to get hold of the Lonsdale, to get their chance.
Rhodes has a warm up fight on Saturday and will then be challenging for titles beyond British level.
if rhodes gets something meaningful then fair enough.

obviously both fighters are with different promoters and it makes it more understandable that he's vacated.

still a shame we won't get to see the fight.

I think it is quite possible that Rhodes was scared of Small. A lot to lose and not much to gain.

I truly cannot stand Anthony Small - he severly annoys me - I will not go further than that other than every fight he goes into I will cheer for the opponent!!!

Exactly what is wrong with boxing.

A British champion pulls out of a cracking domestic clash, due to illness, then gives up his title to fight for "titles beyond British level."

It's like Liverpool pulling out of a quarter final clash against Chelsea, and then saying "Ok, no need to play that match lets concentrate on the semi final."

I'm not knocking Ryan- I know he has his career to think of- but never the less, he was the one who was unwell, now he is giving up the belt.

Umm, I was thinking something more gentlemanly like a fiver or tenner! In any case, how would the winner collect?
