Post your Froch/Taylor scorecards here, no way was.....

...... Froch loosing this fight going into the 12th round.

Its grinding on me that so many had Taylor with a clear lead going into the final round and i'm ready to have a tear up over it. I hate injustices, and although Froch won and now has a bright future ahead of him, i feel he's only being given credit for the KO and that most people are going to remember this fight as Taylor way out in front and loosing it in the final 15 seconds. Officially, that would have been the way of it, but in reality, i think Froch is not being given credit for this performace simply due to bad scoring on the judge's, and your part.

R1: Taylor
R2: Taylor - very close round, but to be fair to all of you, i'll give it to Taylor
R3: Taylor 10-8
R4: Froch
R5: Froch - very close round, but Froch pressing it
R6: Froch - close'ish, but cant be given to Taylor
R7: Froch - just
R8: Froch - clear round for Froch, Taylor lands good combo in final 8 seconds of the round but cant win it on that basis
R9: Froch - close, but Froch's round
R10: Froch - clear
R11: Froch - just, very close round

Froch 106 - 102 Taylor

If you had it even, or Taylor by 1 point going into the last, i might just let you off the hook, but 2 or more to Taylor and your in for it :box: :DD

I had Froch winning 4-6-7-9-10 but a couple of rounds were very hard to score and you could give it either way. Froch was definately losing with the 10-8 round taken into account going into the final round. I said to my wife he needs the KO to win and I think Froch thought that as well and his corner. Anyway dont get your knickers in a twist, it wasnt a points decision.

The fact that you scored round 4 to Taylor tells it all. Do you care to give your reasons for this, because i cannot see any! Round 8 is another that just has to be scored in Froch's favour. He pressed the fight the whole round with Taylor doing very little, he threw a great combo at the end but he cannot win the round with that. I just dont get some people's scoring!

Froch pressed it all through R4 and clearly deserves that round, you must need glasses mate. He landed nothing worth mentioning in the 8th until the final 8 seconds of the round, so other than that, what shots can you see that i cant?
sg1985 wrote:how you could round 11 to froch i dont know. taylor had him hurt
I wont argue over this round, it was very close, but dont be a fool about it, both Froch and Taylor landed big shots but for my money the momentum was with Froch, if only by a whisker.

I didn;t see the fight level, and new "the story" when watching it on ITV 4, but taylor seemed to be clearly in the lead to me.

Ali just read your stuff you say that rd four is for froch that rd was a close won i had it a draw , I think a couple of rds were draws but as ive said i can see them being given to taylor as he had the better punches. I will post the way i scored in while but i had froch down by 1. I know everyone is entitled to there own opinion but i think your scoring is german to say the least

To have Froch winning by 4 and then saying this, seems a bit daft.

Taylor had the lead to me, Froch was coming forward but was hardly connecting with his shots whereas he was taking digs left right and centre.

I had Taylor ahead but the commentators, both Showtime and ITV, did not give enough credit to Carl's work. The ITV commentary was particularly stupid because they slagged off Froch all the way through and then said everything hinged on the last round :witzend: Froch looked awful most of the time, but it's not a beauty contest. A lot of his ugly work was effective

And thats exactly my point. Its about who's work is effective enough to take the round and not about who's the slickest. Froch did not look good against Taylor, and he was struggling to land cleanly, but his work was effective in that he was doing enough to win the rounds and thats the crunch right there!

I don't have a scorecard (will have to watch it again), but for me Taylor was landing all the quality shots, and Froch' punches were being blocked and slipped until about round 8. Taylor was up by three or four points if you ask me. The two judges who had it for him were right in my opinion.

Robert McCracken didn't sound to pleased throughout most of the fight either. He knew Froch wasn't boxing well and was making a tonne of mistakes. In the end though he got the win and that's what it's all about.

i agree.Barry mcguigan started off being impartial then it was as if someone behind the scenes had told him to give rounds to froch.

Me and Phenomenal Nutrition posted our cards on the other thread on Sunday evening if you want to check them out.
I had it 104-104 going into the last.

There were many close rounds and I wouldn't argue with the 106-102 either way, as it comes down to personal opinion.
The cleaner work was generally done by Taylor but on the other hand, Carl was going forward and landing more single shots.
Judging is subjective.

I didn't find his ugly work effective until right at the death. I just didn't see him landing many shots at all.

Sorry, I don't sit there with a pen and paper. In all honesty I thought Froch looked very poor. I'm glad he won, but I hope he got a wake up call. When he puts his hands up and lets the punches go he's a lovely boxer, when he puts them down by his waist and wings away he looks like a club fighter. Trust me, I'm right, I've got 3 o levels.

Same here. Taylor either avoided or blocked the vast majority of them.

Same here, with regards to your first sentence. I watch boxing to enjoy it, and scoring the fight is not a part of that enjoyment. :TU:

I had froch on a split if he didnt ko him.

Point is Froch is the champ and therefore he has to be well beaten before the other guy gets the result.

On the showtime broadcast the press row scoring had it evenly matched with the winner of the last round winning the fight. I would say that was about accurate.

I didnt score the fight...but i thought there was a lot a very close rounds that could of went either way..as the fight wore on Froch started to land his jab and Taylor started missing alot.
I think that spurt at the end of the 8th was a massive factor on Froch winning..

Taylor did the more consistent work up until about the 7th, which was a very close round which Carl maybe nicked.

Even in rounds Carl was winning, Taylor kept rallying in the last 30 seconds or more, and he also landed the cleaner shots.

A lot of Carl's shots were hitting gloves and arms, and he took some massive uppercuts, left hooks and straight rights throughout.

I had Taylor 2 up, although I was thinking US judges might have it bigger. The problem was there were very few conclusive rounds for Froch, whereas I thought quite a few rounds were conclusive for Taylor. And it was Taylor who was landing the cleaner shots. Froch's punches were often blocked, at least partially, while Taylor's stuff was clean and spectacular because Froch didn't keep his hands up.
