What a night in Belfast. Sadly, I was sober throughout the broadcast. Sorry about that. I was fired up at one or two things that I saw and heard. That is all - it's called passion and if you watch other boxing on TV I can understand why many of you were confused!

I was way of the mark them but ill take your word for it, Was there any truth to there being a few scuffles or near scuffles at times? A freind who was there said he seen a strong few verbals anyway.
Do you think setanta and hayemaker will be back at belfast or even in southern ireland ? As much as i dislike some of hayes traits hes put his name to a great company and booth is a very good fella great what he said after the maguire fight about a rematch.
Did you mingle with the fans after the show? i know a few lads there are big fans of your show

Buncey mingled with everyone, and was more than happy to sign autographs and pose for pics all night, an absolute gent, Cheers for signing the wee lads ticket by the way Buncey, tho he did say his waist coat made him better dressed than you and Haye

There were no strong verbals at all Metropol, there was a good bit of Oirsh banter flying about but nothing agressive. (to be honest some of the non locals might not have understood the Irish banter and took it as being agressive possibly but most seemed to enjoy the night) No real scuffles only a couple of drunks threw out but that happened early on in the night. a few supporters got caught up in the fight and got a little carried away but not their fault either, for al ot of Lindseys fans it was there first time at a big venue watching him box. From speaking to both Appleby and Lindsey supporters after the event all seem to have had a great time and there was none of the bother that had been bandied about on ESB etc. All in all a brilliant night. I really do hope that Hayemaker Promos come back to Belfast because that was a sell out crowd and everyone there had an amazing time. One of the best atmospheres I've ever seen at an arena. Only let down was the the fighters enterance it could have been MC'ed better and the music sortted out properly for a decent intro, but then again maybe they were not expecting the crowds that they drew.

The noise was as loud as a Dunne bill in the Stadium but was more constant than dunnes support is normally. I'm still horse today ffs and I wasn't even cheering for the main event It might also be the 1st time I have ever stood and sang "Amhrán na bhFiann" while sobber hehe. Great night !!

No aggro but a lot of banter. It was hot inside. I've been at a few Dunne fights at the old Point and they were good for noise. I was sick that I had to miss the title fight and that is why I twice run the ending on my show. Respect where respect is due.

i never understand why people get on Buncey's case because love him or hate him people must see he is good for the sport in the UK. Remember how he fought on behalf of the fans for Marquez-Diaz as well as other fights yet when Setanta dont come up with a fight its his fault. I love his boxing hour and for any boxing fan to have a weekly magazine boxing show is a dream. LOng may the big man bless our screens and fight for our corner.

Bigmark , i think it depends more on the crowd than the venue mcguigan won his title in an outdoor venue and i think the crowd drove him on there also dunne won in a very big venue , but i definatly agree that the crowd play a part .

Hunter Molitor came very close , but that was a massive fight in a small hall venue so it's unfair to compare to a big place.

Agree with that totally...my personal favourite night of boxing ...closely followed by Hunter v Pickering. something about the Borough Hall just makes hairs on your neck tingle

there seems to be a lot more passion for a local fighter at a small hall show and this can often drive a fighter that extra distance. I mentioned earlier the Barry Mc shows in Belfast but also i remember Glenn McCrory fighting infront of his own fans in the Northeast being very special. I really think that if Tony Jefferies can keep winning we will see the same kind of thing with him but wouldnt be surprised if is selling out the stadium of Light before long.

IN Principle thats a fantastic thought but it would have to be a mega fight. Stadium of Light holds just under 50,000 as a football stadium so could do maybe 55,000 - 60,000 boxing? 4-5 years down the line if Jeffries is still unbeaten along with Degale, Groves or Sutherland in a 2 title unification? It would be the biggest fight in North East history, actually it would probably eclipse the Ricky Hatton homecoming crowd last summer. It's all if's and buts but thats what I think is so amazing about our current young crop of Super Middle's. If things go well it could be huge, and although people might not says he's better than Groves or DeGale because his home town has such a strong regional identity as long as he's winning I think he has the potential to outsell everyone ...But then again as a North east native maybe i'm biased

Couldn't see anything that pointed towards Buncey being on the ale, he had a good few rants and obviously they had a bit extra edge to them because he had to shout over that amazing crowd atmosphere. I look forward to Buncey's show every week and enjoy listening to him on a fight night, sometimes the Sky team are so boring. Anyway keep up the good work Buncey.
