Bye Bye Tyson

Post by Uppercut24 »

Well it came true what i had expected Tyson Knock Outed by Williams, i think now every avarage boxer can beat Tyson its over with him.

Personally i never liked him like a boxer nor as a person, the way he act against Holyfield was a shame. He act like that cause he knowed Holyfield will knock me down sooner or later.

I think he now must retire of boxing and beginning to work in a Zoo, in a cage with rude animals where he belongs.

I think it is over for Tyson so we can properly discuss him as a "Boxer of the Past", but let's not rejoice over any fighter's downfall. Tyson's is now without money, friends or prospects. As boxing fans, we've seen this too many times - the rapid rise, the wild escapades, then the crash. Nothing to laugh about. And how much can we blame Tyson himself? He was a lost, angry, violent kid who had learned not to trust anyone. Then by age 21 he was one of the most celebrated people in the world. Could anyone have handled that gracefully? Mike sure didn't, but who looked out for him? Everyone wanted a piece. Maybe if Jim Jacobs and Cus D'Amato hadn't died in quick succession Mike wouldn't have been such easy prey for scumbags like Don King.

It may not be fashionable to say it nowadays, but I think most of us are now sad in the realization that Tyson has really gone.

While I have some sympathy for Tyson many of his troubles have been self induced, also don't forget that for the past decade Tyson has revelled in his notoriety... in his 'monster image' and made and blown a fortune on it.... should we feel sorry for him for that? no I don't think so!. Really Tyson has been lucky I think to have been able to carry on with his 'career' since that disgusting night against Holifield... Tyson has dragged boxing into the depthes with his talk and behaviour over the years and my overwhelming feeling is happiness for Danny and a hope that the Tyson circus is finally over.

I think the end of Tyson can be a good thing for boxing... for one thing I think the top guys are going to have to start fighting eachother in order to make any money... and with a bit of luck we may end up with a unified title!!!.......or perhaps I'm just dreaming! 8)

great post Silkov, Im sick of hearing poor old mike., fornicate me I would have liked to have earned 300 million, he has to have some responsibilty in frittering it away, aaaah it was everyone else's fault. Yeah course it was.

Asides from anything else he should never have been allowed to set foot in the ring after the holyfield ear incident.

For fecks sake theres people on this world who have had a much worse life and many less opportunities for redemption the "scrap Iron" Mike.
I for one dont have alot of sympathy.

And some of you can or will call me a tyson hater as much as you like, i dont hate him at all, I just think theres a lot of misplaced sympathy for a man with no self control.

Having said that I hope he manages to sort his problems out and finds some kind of life away from boxing cos he is finished.

I think he still might be able to pay off some of those debts by way of Hollywood movie appearances. I don't even know of he's K-1 material at this point.

In a way I hope he find something, because otherwise I see nothing but a terrible downward spiral into Bolivian for the man.

But as far as being a force in boxing, or even a sideshow attraction, he's finished. Even if his legs weren't completely shot, he'd have trouble moving around a ring with that giant fork sticking out of his back. :-P
