is this really a suprise.these guys SHOULD be selling out small venues.as for haye selling out the york hall,the man was an amateur world silver medalist in his hometown in a hall that holds around 1200 people.henry wharton was doing that on his debut,and throughout his career and it looks like tony jefferies will do the same in sunderland,where,despite the great show,the people are going on to watch him.i know hattons one of the biggest sellers of all time,but much of that has been produced by the media/his style/personality.i was at the ryan rhodes-jason matthews fight when hatton boxed in about his 7th or 8th fight and he could only have had about 50-60 fans therescrap iron wrote:My mate rang up yesterday wanting to get tickets to join me and my friends and was told that the whole hall had now sold out and only a few seats were left at ringside. I know the show in Sunderland has sold out, but that does have a cracking undercard and I'm struggling to think of the last small hall show where tickets sold out so quickly. I remember back in 2006 Moore v Macklin sold out within a few days and I think David Haye's last fight at the York Hall was a sell-out.
We paid £40 plus £5 booking fee for the tickets, which I thought was a little steep at the time. I never thought the demand for tickets would cause the show to sell out though.
If anyone does know if there are any unreserved spare tickets for the main hall, please let me know. Ta.
