Matthew Hall v Ryan Rhodes, who would win?

Post by whicker »

Hypotetical question, but yeah-who would win in this fight?

It may happen in the future, if Hall can comfortable stop Small (which i think he will) and Rhodes is successful at European/EU level.

Has a classic Yorkshire V Lancashire edge, too.

Going to see Hall in the gym next weekand he looked great last time out, but Rhodes is still a good fighter. I've criticised him the past but he's still got ability. Would be a belter, and I'd go for Hall by stoppage.....if he gets near him :)

I sincerely hope Hall beats Small.Would really put Hall into contention and shut up Small in the same process.

Small, or Hall?

Have either a reputation of not turning up?

I'm not being argumentative, I simply don't know.

Rhodes would give Hall so many angles he will still be getting whiplash in his nightmare-ridden sleep months after the event. Either he wins a boring UD or stops hall at some point, wouldn't give Hall the fight he wanted and needed to win

Agreed. Rhodes is just way too clever for a guy like Hall - as exciting as he is. It wouldn't be pretty and it wouldn't be fun to watch, but Rhodes would just potshot Hall for 12 dull rounds and win a lopsided decision.

Small would be a far tougher test for Rhodes.

in a weird way i think hall has better outside chance vs Rhodes- with a lucky KO- i genuinely believe Small's bottle would go the first time he got hit decently by Rhodes and he'd go into a shell. his confidence has never been the same since he took a Pryce left hook in i think 3rd round, didn't knock him down but the expression on his facechanged and i haven't seen it the same since. Hall, at least, would come back swinging.

Some people on here think Rhodes is world class, well he aint he is just about European class and high domestic class. Who knows how far Hall will go but I would say Hall stops him and it could happen early.

from what i've seen hall is lower-level british class (eg, getting ktfo by Concepcion)which is why i think he'd get outboxed
