Dieppa-Solis

Post by steve689 »

How bad was the scoring for this fight, some guys give you the impression that they write there cards out before the match and have a cup of tea and a kip during the fight itself. I mean fair enough scoring is subjective but they made it out like the fight wasn't even competetive, i had it a draw! The fact that two cards were 120-108 and one was 114-114 is laughable. Poor old Ulises Solis got a slap in the face for all his effort.

The News paper/site La Frontera de Tijuana mentioned of an absolute booing of more than 7 thousand fans in MGM Grand at the decision and they applauded Leyva. :TU:

the press row scoring was a complete landslide win for Dieppa, and from what i saw of the fight (admittidly not the whole fight) Dieppa was handing out a boxing lesson.

WHAAAAT!!! Dieppa hardly landed a clean shot all fight. Al he did was come forward and miss. Solis landed at least twice the number of clean blows. That was terrible judging, and I don't know what the fornicate Barry McGuigan was talking about, about 'it depends who you like' well actually, no it doesn't it depends on whether you have a fornicating clue how fights are meant to be scored. 'Effective aggression' remember that? That means landing clean scoring punches, not coming forward getting outjabbed and then missing when you're in range.

Solis has himself to blame to some extent though, the fight was there to be won, he shouldn't have been so hesitant as he seemed to have the edge in speed and accuracy, he could have beaten him easily with more gas.

Bloody awful fight until the last 2 rounds....

i promise you, Dan Rufael, Pat Sheehan and some other journo had Dieppa winning almost every round.

I was almost asleep and wasn't really paying much attention to the fight.
