Williams vs Harrison

Post by BubiScholz »

I heard it yesterday on CNN. Maybe the first realistic opponent for the overhyped Harrison?

Heard what exactly? I don't really see why Williams would take this fight now, when he has so many other options. Maybe he just wants to kick Audley's ass.

they showed it as a News-Ticker on CNN-World yeterday. He wants to fight Harrison next.

Well, he obviously fancies kicking Audley into retirement too. You have to say, based on that performance, he is going to smash Audley to bits.

After what I've witnessed this weekend it's my opinion that we could easily continue to see a vast difference in how Danny Williams performs depending on who he fights.

Stick him in with Ruiz, I reckon he could well wipe the floor with him. Bring him back to face Skelton and he could lose miserably.

If Danny really wants the Audley fight then I suspect it means he'll do a number on him. As he probably would have done with Herbie Hide.

Funny cause I consider Ruiz a much better version of Skelton. unless you are talking about Danny's frame of mind for the 2 fights.
would prefer him to go for one of the titles straight away whilst his confidence is high

strange I dont see Aud as logical opponent at all, he (aud) should go fight skelton, Danny has now been (rightly or wrongly) catapulted into the world top ten, withg a high profile win. Audley woudl be an opponent should he lose against a ruiz, a brewster or (god forbid) vitali. I see it as a step back, what the fornicate has harrison done to deserve a crack at Danny at this present stage? Or skelton for that matter, due to the high profile nature of defeatiing tyson I think Danny would be stupid to jeopardise a crack at a decent title and the money that goes with it by dropping back down to fight British level opposition even if he actually isnt of a much higher calibre himself.

Williams was a 3rd class boxer when he entered the ring. he won against a maximum 2nd class boxer. He was wiped out by Samil Sam a year ago. a guy who has no chance getting European Champion. a joke. why should he have now a chance vs. Ruiz, Byrd or even Klitschko?

How much you watched of Danny mate? And samil sam was European champ you donut!
He got all the tools his problems are mental nothing else.
And you telling me that Ruiz is the second coming Ali of somink, shit yeah he has a chance against Ruiz. Byrd may well get on his bike and frustrate Danny but its not a fight he would take a beating in, and Brewster from what Ive seen of him is not that dissimilar to Williams himself in terms of talent and heart.
You stick to waving Krasniq's flag mate but unfortuantely for you Danny has just beaten a far bigger name than all the fighters on Krasniqs record put together. Rightly or wrongly but thats the truth Bubi.
His profile is now much higher than Luans. More specifically in the good ole US of A as well.

Sorry, J, but Williams was outboxed and finished by Samil Sam. And Luan made a great fight vs. Sam and had a close win. On Saturday he showed a brilliant fight against a Monse, who is not easy to box. Krasniqi is obviously the best boxer in Europe after the Klitschkos.

What a Moron. Williams performance against Sam was way below his best. Anyone who has watched Williams fight, knows that on his good nights, he is way better

Do you think Samil Sam would have stopped Tyson in four rounds, I very much doubt it. Williams also turned in a sub par performance against Michael Sprott.

You obviously have your own agenda. Williams took far harder shots from Tyson than anything Samil Sam Landed, but came back for more, he took a lot of Tyson's best shots, and hung in there to kick his arse. He roughed Tyson up and took his heart away, and discouraged him, which is why Tyson came out so flat for the 4th, he was panicking because Williams was hitting him back.

If he fights Sam again, I predict he will kick his arse, provided of course he performs to his ability.

you are basing your whole perception of Danny williams on one fight when he admitted that he was so nervous he broke down in the dressing room. I admit he was fcuking awful that night, totally terrible but he wasnt on Sat. I also suggest you get yourself a video of the fight against Mark Potter for starters, then watch sat nights fight, then go and learn to stop slagging and English heavyweghts that might be a threat to fornicating Luan Krasniqi who is fighting b grade fighters by all accounts.
Its getting boring bro. Give Danny some credit mate, he put in a great performance on Sat night and deserves the plaudits.

I can't see what Danny can possibly gain from facing Harrison.

After the grief Audley has given him DW should be taking great pleasure in telling Audley "I've just beaten a top 15 world rated HW, you do the same and we'll get it on".

Then watch AH squirm.

fornicate me, Danny Williams gets no props for smashing Tyson into retirement, despite the fact that almost everyone though he would get annihilated, and yet Luan Krasniqi gets a gift decsision against plodding Samil Sam, and is a future world champion. Krasniqi is just another protected European level fighter with no future, Williams is a guy who on the biggest occasion of his career has pulled the iron out of the fire.

He may revert to previous low performances, but my money is on him using this as a springboard.

European heavyweight boxing is a joke, and so are you Bubi.

Under experts the EBU-belt is more worth than a WBO-belt or Harrisons WBF-belt. "plodding Sam" had no problems with Williams and hits harder than Tyson. Tysons time is over. Sam has the same chance like Williams.
And Wiliams has no chance against Sam or Krasniqi. He is a 2nd class boxer in Europe. He should make some money in the States now and then retire. the only overprotected fighter in Europe is Harrison who fought crap till now.

MY ARSE SAM HITS HARDER THAN TYSON? :o :o :o :o :o

Bubi give it a rest mate. Who the f*ck thinks the EBU belt has more kudos than the WBO these days? So your saying that the EBU title hholders have more holding in world rankings than WBO, sorry but thats plain bullshit. I wish it were true but it isnt,. And thats rich coming from German whose promoters and governing bodies are basically in bed with the WBO.
He would have a good chance against either. But im not gonna bother arguing the point because you obvioously have seen Williams fight once against Sam and have made your mind up.
In the meantime give Danny some plaudits for a fantastic performance on Sat.

Sam hit's harder than Tyson, what on earth are you basing that on, he hit JC Gomez with everything but the kitchen sink and couldn't even make him blink. Williams was totally listless that night, and the shots he took from even a 38 year old Tyson were obviously way harder.

There's no point discussing it with you, you are obviously obsessed with your own little boxing scene, which is obvious if you think an also-ran like Krasniqi is going to be a future world champ. You consistently slag of British fighters, and yet hype a nonentity like Krasniqi up like he's the second coming of Ali. Pathetic. It's funny how Harrison gets constantly criticised, and yet Krasniqi who lost to the great Przemyslaw Saleta by KO is the next big thing.

I don't know what you have against English boxing, but it is obvious that your bias is clouding your judgement.

anyway why then is Krasniqi ranked Nr. 14 in fightnews, that is not german-influenced? and why is he Nr. 20 at the WBC?

easy answer: he is at the moment better than any british fighter. but believe me, mate, i wouldn´t have a problem if it woulb be the other way round. a british boxer dominated the heavies in the last years. so what. but if a german guy does a good job everybody has a problem with it.

And last but not least: Congratulation Mr. Danny Williams!!!!!!!!!! :TU:

Although I was astounded and delighted at DW's performance against Tyson I can't see him getting much further. He would ( and hopefully will) beat Harrison, but I can't see him winning against Samil Sam or Krasniqi, let alone one of the world belt holders. Those european guys are skillful boxers and tacticians, they wouldn't make for easy targets like Tyson did, much the same goes for Byrd and Danny would lose a brawl against Vitali Klitschko. The one good chance Danny might have is against Ruiz, and I feel that this is who he should target. Brewster I've not seen so I don't know!

I have no problem with it at all, but what exactly are his major accomplishments? He has one decent win over Samil Sam, who in turn was flattered by a sub par performance by Williams. To put into perspective how far Williams varies, he looked woeful against Sprott due to clowning around, and then destroys Tyson.

he should go for the WBF-title vs. Harrison. 2 reasons:

1. easiest and the only realistic way to become "World Champion"
2. big payday in England for Williams

Sorry guys, I forgot about that. Anybody has a chance vs. Brewster (especially outside Las Vegas).
