Griffith uses his greater all-around ability to edge out a close, hard-fought decision.

Robinson in 1949 may not have quite the fire he previously showed at 147 (perhaps from being weight drained?) but he still has too much for Cokes. Robinson uses his all-around boxing ability to win a wide decision.

Next up - "The Night of the Johnsons" Light-heavyweight Double Bill

First: Glen Johnson vs. Reggie Johnson

Then: Harold Johnson vs. Marvin Johnson

Then the winners of both matches face each other.

the excellent harold johnson, too long under-rated, makes mincemeat of reggie johnson. the 6th round sees HJ KO RJ with a terrific right hand that ends the fight before reggie hits the floor.

harold johnson KO 6

Loughran is too skilled and mobile for Berlenbach and boxes his way to a wide decision.

No, realism. It makes a lot more sense to speculate about two fighters from the same era who really could have met (but didn't) then some nonsensical match-up between Jem Mace v. Rocky Marciano, or Bob Fitzsimmons v. Lennox Lewis.

OK but why do we have to contain it to non fiction characters in fictional bouts? How about this bit of authentic total fiction?

Joe Palooka vs Sargeant Rock both in their prime at HW.
