Carl Froch "I want Kessler next"

I think Green is with DiBella. Looks like a no-no. Green might be fighting Bute.

Kessler can be beaten, and there might not be a better time than now to do it. I would try and fight him at home though!

But Froch needs to settle his style down. Though Kessler is that nice little step up from Taylor, just as Taylor was a perfect fight to take after beating Pascal.

I'd make Kessler a slight favourite in this one, but I'm a longtime Froch fan and have always thought he'd have a chance on account of his desire and his punch. His attitude is exactly what boxing needs right now, so full credit to him and Haye. It's just a shame that a fighter with more talent (Calzaghe) took so few risks in his career.

Since Carl Froch's very first fight I have been a strong supporter of his - however at this stage he should leave Kessler well alone - he is not right for Kessler at this stage who is in my opinion the Number 1 Super Middleweight!!

Go for the other champions - leave Kessler once a couple of things have been ironed out!!

Froch is progressing brilliantly - but at this stage - Kessler is a step too far.

Why do you say at this stage? Do you think Froch is going to improve much... or do you mean untill Kessler is a shot fighter.

Carl might be compensated well for a bout with B-Hop, but he would be schooled! Froch made mistakes against Taylor that he would never get away with when facing a guy such as Bernard!

Froch should stop chasing dead ends, Kessler has promoter problems, and Calzaghe wants nothing to do with Froch. I think that he should call out Bute just a tad more.

Good to see Froch wanting another big name. Though there is one thing wanting a fight and another being able to get it.

Kessler beats Froch IMO. Kessler is the better boxer and very powerful. Froch has the puncher's chance.

Hopkins is the only guy out there who would easily beat Froch. He needs to avoid him at all costs, as he would be clearly outpointed.

I think he stops Kessler and Bute. As for Pavlik, I believe he would stop him late on. Maybe Abraham would give him big trouble though.

If he persists with fighting in big fights, and kudos to him, get Pavlik in the ring.
I think Froch stops him.
Or even Bute, who looked like he ran right out of gas against Andrade.

Problem is with these potential big fights is Kessler is fighting in the summer against a mandatory so a Froch-Kessler bout is unlikely until the end of the year at the earliest. Bute has to rematch Andrade yet and is apparently going to fight Allan Green first so that's a no go, Balzay? Don't know what on earth he's up to. Plus Carl has to fight the winner of Miranda-Ward apparently so I suppose that's his next fight.

Calzaghe fought very tentatively against Hopkins - that just isn't Froch's style. I don't think Hopkins would be intimidated on the big stage. Joe has always had self doubt - it's something that doesn't seem to afflict Carl at all.

Froch is absolutely brimming over with confidence so if it's at all possible I would strike as soon as possible. Kessler has to clear his schedule and take care of his mandatory, so you would think Carl will defend again, hopefully win, then maybe the fight can be made. Hennessy said on TV that after the Pascal win, the Danish acknowledged Froch is a main player. He's since smashed Taylor into oblivion, so what does that make him now ? Number 1? Possibly.

After years of SN tripe we've been duped into not expecting a consistant standard of high quality fights . Froch is doing a stunning job of turning it all around. 8)

Carl Froch and David Haye are a (sane) boxing fans dream. Constantly wanting the BIG fights, constantly taking risks with their career. That's how boxing should be!

They should both be Knighted, they're legends already!

Which is why "undefeated" means nothing. It's nonsense.

It's just a sport, You Win, Lose or Draw. It does not even matter, end of the day, the athletes are making money for it. Anyone who get's obsessive by throwing the term "Legacy" around is just an idiot.

Boxing is a mugs game, Losses meaning nothing, unless you're losing constantly, which my advice would be to retire and not get permanently hurt

I think Kessler is the type who will want the big fights, and at the moment Froch is as big as it gets in this division, short of him going to Canada to fight Bute (who doesn't seem nearly so keen on taking big fights.) He wouldn't have come here to fight Calzaghe if he was the Zsolt Erdei type. I'm certain that this fight will happen in the next year or so, once both guys have their mandatories out of the way.

Whilst Kessler is a great fighter,

I feel that since his defeat he's lost his hunger.

His fight with Calzaghe was November 2007 and we all know he fought with a shot hand which need an operation and rest.

But since then i've really looked forward to his next 'big' fight and it's never happened. Sartison was a decent amateur but untested as a pro and despite rocking Mikkel to his boots in the opener, he crumbled.

Danillio Haussler is a tomato can and was dealt with as such.

There was rumours of a HBO date with Winky Wright but he didn't fancy it and then there was the Miranda debacle which infuriated Seminole after they sorted :-

“Given the information we’ve discovered regarding this disgraceful lack of integrity from Kessler and his team, we are seriously considering legal action against them,” said Leon Margules, Executive Director of Seminole Warriors Boxing.

“Edison is losing out on a significant payday and national television exposure because of Kessler’s withdrawal from this fight, and we are going to investigate all our options in the coming days.”

After a lengthy negotiation process, Denmark’s Kessler agreed late last month to face Miranda in a May 24th bout to be televised on Showtime. It was a matchup fans deemed to be one of the best super middleweight fights in recent years, but shortly after agreeing to the bout, Kessler withdrew, giving no reason for his withdrawal

I just think Mikkel didn't like losing and values his gaff and ferrari in Monaco more than reaching the top again.
