congrats on beating a has been. once again the british fighters prove themselves to be masters of nothing but hot air. hell, maybe williams should pursue a fight with ali.

oh yeah, when is hatton getting out of his hole and coming across the pond to fight real contenders?

Come on guys, I'm no Williams fan, but you Americans are always on about how Tyson is going to be back in his prime, but this time he really really is. Now he loses to a British fighter and he is a has-been?

I wish you Yanks would stop thinking you're the only ones we're still pissed at. Hell, some of us are still holding a grudge about 1066. :x

Alright, this is why Brits are so fornicating stupid. Everyone knew Tyson was past it when Lewis took 8 fornicating rounds to beat down a man who wasn't fighting back. Now 2 years later you guys try to throw around the "British underdog beat American legend" crap all over again. To me this fight proved that Williams had a lot more balls than Lewis and showed that Mike could be stopped early, but we mustn't forget that Danny was almost out in round 1.

All and all, my point to this shit is:

American > British

Boo-hooo-hoo, I'm a Tyson fan, and you beat him up.

The same people who are now slating Danny because he beat their man up, I guarantee are the same ones who were going on about how Mike was going to win the titles back just before the fight, and believed every word from his camp.

In truth I thought Tyson looked a lot better than he did against Lewis, trouble was, Danny wasn't having it, he could have gone negative and would have been out of there in the 2nd, but he sucked it up, gave it back, and whooped Tyson.

Yes, Tyson is past it, we all knew that, but it's still a very good victory.

I'm not even a Tyson fan.

You guys are acting like Danny Williams is the next world champion now.

He was no one a week ago and he should be no one right now. Another Lamon Brewster in the making - just gonna get hyped up off of one win then lose it all big in front of the whole world because people thought he is something he isn't.

Danny Williams has lost to Sam the Turk who has proved that anyone who can jab and move will easily skate to victory, Julius Francis? Come on, the same guy a younger Tyson and Klitschko both blew out in two rounds, and Sprott - who just months after beating Danny lost to Skelton.

Did you guys forget that in round 1 Danny could barely keep on his feet?

Props to him for beating Tyson, but he isn't a great fighter by any means and shouldn't be hyped at all, because he is only going to let you down.

this is a boxing forum, a british one at that and one of our heavyweights beats a heavily favoured mike tyson.
what the fornicate do you want us to discuss? the increased salinity of the oceans? the general strike of 1926??
just because there are few threads along the lines of what next for danny? doesnt mean we consider this the second coming of ali.
unlike some people british tend to keep things in perspective and we dont usually go running into the streets in a state of panic en mass because someone starts reading science fiction stories out on the radio.
believe it or not we know who he lost to but we also know williams for years has been seen as a massive underachiever, the division at the moment is hardly packed with talent so i wouldnt find it beyond the realms of fantasy to suggest he might beat one of the weaker titleholders if matched against one. especially considering his last performance.
but i dont expect to see danny being inducted into the hall of fame either.
