Vitali's in talks to fight Roy Jones. But Roy's a nightmare to do business with so that fight is still along way off. But i think Vitali would rather fight Roy.knockout wrote:warren will get him straight into a title fight......................

Don King hold the WBA, WBO and IBF belts doesnt he???
Vitali will probably want to be beat the man who beat the man, and i cannot imagine people are queueing up to fight Vitali
Vitali seldom destroys anyone decent in 2 rounds, he is cautious early on.......Reeso wrote:Vitali would destroy williams within 2 rounds hope holyfield doesnt fight him tough it will just be another old past it great fighter on dannys record who he wouldnt have lived with in their primes
However Vitali would be huge favourite against Danny..
But that is the fight where the big money and is for the "real heavyweight title"

Vitali would be a tall order (no pun) for Danny. He's so much bigger, and every bit as strong as Danny, and punches with more authority. He would bust Danny up with that jab, and would gradually wear him down. The only guy I see beating Vitali right now is Toney, and that's also a big ask.
Since his fight with Lewis, Vitali seems to have become a lot more aggressive too.

I think that Vitali is the only option as I doubt that Warren will want to work with King. I think Danny would have a chance with Brewster and Ruiz, I think that Byrd would be a little bit slippery for him and Vitali would break him down in the middle rounds. But for taking his big chance he deserves a shot and serious money. A mid level Heavy how about Barret or Guinn?
those 2 fights are too dangerous, because he could lose without recieving a good payday in return.Chris the fighter wrote:I think that Vitali is the only option as I doubt that Warren will want to work with King. Yes, Guinn is a bad risk v reward option. Same goes for the likes of Barrett, both of them are volume fighters who may just outpoint him. Williams might just catch Byrd at the right time, but remember, the judges are likely to be favouring the American fighter.adamiw wrote:those 2 fights are too dangerous, because he could lose without recieving a good payday in return.Chris the fighter wrote:I think that Vitali is the only option as I doubt that Warren will want to work with King. Yes he did, I think he was under contract to king for the single fight with Joppy. Once he lost to Joppy, king lost interest and just sat on his hands until Eastman got bored.
Eastman really blew his chances there, he should have made more of an effort to beat Joppy, but was too busy trying to look good. That was i think, his one and only shot at a world title. Wasted opportunity, and he still harps on about how he was 'robbed' he simply didn't work hard enough. He kept going on about knocking Joppy down, sure that's a 10-8, but what about the rest of the fight?

Please tell me thats a typo and you didn't just write that you thought James Toney had even a chance against Vitali Klitchko. God, Toney is sooooooooooo overrated at heavy. He beat Evander who is ancient and was never a puncher at heavy anyway. Against any of the giants James Toney is going down and HARD. Lots of people think Toney is gonna just lie on the ropes and make Vitali miss with ease and start tagging him. Thats not gonna happen. The size difference here really is ridiculus, Toney is barely 5'10.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Vitali would be a tall order (no pun) for Danny. One the main things with Toney at heavy is his workrate or lack off, with him coming in at 220 against Evander he could only throw a few punches at a time and then hard to go to the ropes and rest, lucky for him Evanders stamina was even worse. It was particulary noticable in the 4th round of the Holyfield fight where he was tagging Holyfield a lot in the first 30 seconds but then had to retreat to the ropes for the next 2 minutes to recover. Toney would get the beating of his life against Vitali, I don't even rate Vitali either, I think his brother is a lot more talented only he lacks a chin and stamina.

I dunno if I have as low an opinion of Toney as a heavy as Lefthook, but I'm definately staying firmly off the bandwagon until he beats a good, big heavyweight. Yes, he looked a million dollars against Evander, but I think an awful lot of fighters would at this point in Holyfield's career. The McCline fight would've been a good benchmark. I'm not convinced the Rydell Booker (a fellow former cruiser) fight will tell us much. Toney's a great fighter, and a great character, but I'm surprised how many people seem quick to pin the tag of great heavyweight on him before we see how he actually deals with a live heavy.Lefthookhappy19 wrote:Please tell me thats a typo and you didn't just write that you thought James Toney had even a chance against Vitali Klitchko.
