Hi all, just waiting on a rundown of the undercard and times for Sunday, hopefully not too far away. Yet again no response from Main Event/Fox for a list of their venues and theres no way I'm trawling through their venue finder and writing down each place so if they don't supply a list I'll just supply a link to the website. Cheers mate, any idea why Sky has so few venues these days?

There may yet be more coming, I have been trying to help them with venues in WA but thats another story. Basically its a fight by fight thing, I am surprised the buy rate for Sky is so low this time, may be some happenings behind the scenes. They're limited by the number of venues the can screen in as the venues has to have a TAB etc, whilst Main Event have the advantage of the venue just requiring Foxtel.

Recently I helped them secure a WA venue for a few fights after convincing them to lower their rate because of the time difference etc, it worked and they secured the venue for a couple of fights but they've since gone back to Main Event. Its frustrating cos they're more easier for me to deal with than FoxSports who never respond to emails and Main Event aren't much better. I'm not sure if ME still have a yearly rate they charge clubs for all PPVs but thats something thats hard to plan ahead for as obviously you have no idea how many worthwhile PPVs there will be in any year.

You can add The Grand Hotel, Labrador (just up the road from Southport) on the Gold Coast to the list.

I havn't been able to track down a run format for the card so can't give away the start time of the main event. I've been in contact with Main Event re venues and got this response;

Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we don't have access to these lists as this side of the business isn't handled by Main Event but FOX Sports. You could get in contact with them to see if they could help you out.

So apparantly Main Event have no idea who buys their fights. Riiiight. I didn't bother contacting Fox Sports as they respond to emails with the speed of continental drift. Any other late Sky additions I'll add in tonight/early tomorrow.
