Okay, Tony Berrios is my Tio, and I just thought you may want to know his information is wrong. Though he lived in Scranton, Pa before he died he is from Puerto Rico, I think he'd want it to state that instead of the United States. Thank you so much.
Not only his info but lost of other fighters from Scranton have complained about their info being wrong. Especialy if they fought back in the late 60's early 70's and especialy the early 90's.
Not all of there info, but a good deal of it. Especialy journeyman. Do you know if Tony trained at Weston Field, and if so who was his trainer and or manager? Are you his daughter or his wife? What part of Scranton did you live in?
Sorry for all the questions but it's very interesting to me.
I lived in my dads old house I'm not sure what street it wad about 10yrs ago, I just lived there on breaks from school and stuff, my dad had a car shop across the street from our house and there was a little store like up the street thats all I remember.
i met tony berrios in halifax n.s. back in 1973. he was fighting dave downey. they fought to a 10 round draw. dave was canadian middleweight champ. it was a good fight. i was in the dressing room and spoke to tony for a few minutes. seemed like a great guy. sorry to here he passed away.
We recently found out that Tony Berrios is my son Lucas' Grandfather. We would love to know everything there is to know about him and possibly find a picture of him. I saw some posts from 2004 (the year my son was born) from The Scranton Assassin and from MSBerrios stating she was his niece. Any information or photos anyone can pass along would be great. Thanks so much.
