'“One of the strengthening-conditioning coaches of UNLV saw [Hatton] running out there in the sun,” said Ariza. “Probably, he’s still struggling to make weight.
“The tale would be after the weigh-in, when I hear how much he weighs. If he’s over 150 lb, his body is going to be weak and I think Manny will go right after him.”'
If he was having to run in the sun in the final week, that doesn't bode too well, but Hatton always comes in at 150 or thereabouts, so I don't foresee that as being too much of a problem.
But anyway, there are all kinds of disturbing rumours surrounding Hatton right now. It really doesn't bode well.
Did Hatton Have Weight Problems??
Re: Did Hatton Have Weight Problems??
That reads like a guy who's never heard of Hatton before, to be honest.
Re: Did Hatton Have Weight Problems??
Hatton is always tight at the weight but is always very disciplined in training and strong at 10st

It must also be said that the Philippine Daily Inquirer may not be the most impartial source.
Any problems Hatton has in the fight (and he most certainly will have problems) are most likely going to come from the fact that Pacquiao is just a better fighter, not any conditioning issues.

Exactly !!states wrote:That reads like a guy who's never heard of Hatton before, to be honest.
all I know is when Hatton extensively used Kerry Kayes - Hatton was always at every stage on the button with regards weight!!
Now - who knows - but - i simply cannot believe Hatton would not have taken on the excellent advice Kayes passed on!!!
There will be no weight issues - the best man, the best fighter will win the fight!!
Re: Did Hatton Have Weight Problems??
It's all part of the cut in my opinion. There are some MMA fighters who cut stupid amounts of weight close to fight time and i'd imagine boxing is much the same. Nothing strange about Hatton running in the heat to get the last few pounds off which are always the most difficult anyway.
