Cook v Earl who wins?

whats you opinions on Cook v Earl. i would go with Earl by late stoppage.

Cook would be very dangerous for the first few rounds, but seems to get tired in the later stages, i can see Earl coming from behind to get to him in the 10th or 11th round

A lot depends where the fight takes place. In Wales, Cook is an awfully hard man to beat.

I woudl go with Jason on this. Think he hits harder and is a better techinician., I dont get why earl has done so well I really dont, (well he didnt against vanzie but lets not get into that again).
Be interesting to hear Deano's thoughts on this!

I think the reason Earl's been so successful is that he's solid. He's one of those guys who doesn't really do anything amazingly well, but he doesn't have any huge deficiencies either. Being a pretty good all round fighter will only take him so far though.

My pick is Cook outworking Earl and winning a narrowish points decision.

Earl does seem to be one of those fighters that does enough to win.

I thought he was impressive against Murray, took a few punches on the way to his win, and seems to have a good chin, Cook is known as a puncher although his record is 10kos in 23 wins so not exactly a great stat.

Not so sure on this one.

Initially, I would have gone with Cook on points about 6 months back, but judging Cook by his most recent performance against Bennett, I don't know if he still has the same strength and power at Lightweight any longer. He also seemed to run out of ideas there with Bennett. It will be interesting to compare my performance against Bennett with that of Cook a little later on.

We all know that Earl has staying power and is relatively strong at the weight; you would have to grind out a points victory over him as his chin and recovery rate seem to be sound. To do this, you would have to be tip top at the weight, which to be honest I don't think Jason is, or has been for a long time.

As bennie pointed out, a big factor is where the fight would take place. So, I wouldn't rule out a close points win for Cook in Wales, or a close points win for Earl in England.

On neutral ground, considering both of their most recent performances, I would have to side with Earl on points, or late stoppage.

Earl is very ordinary but enjoys a tear up so it would be down to Cook to force the pace and keep giving Earl angles like Vanzie did, don't stand and trade like Murray did. Cook on points for me.

On the fence with this one - Would normally go for Cook, but Dean makes some solid arguments for Earl. Cook has looked vulnerable in the past, can Earl hurt him?

earl is limited unless the bloke in front of him stands and has a war.i think jason would just be a bit to slippery for him.
