Most comprehensive knockouts of all time?

Post by whicker »

That last night must rank as one of the most total knockouts ever. Just hit him and knocked him out.

It's very rare that this happens in boxing, as most ending as stoppages rather than knockouts.

Even when a fighter is clearly unable to beat the count , or jumps up but clearly can't go on (Enzo) they are at least capable of moving.

Anyone think of any other knockouts that were as comprehensive as this?

Thaxtons title winning fight last year was simialr, I think. Rhodes Woolcombe too, maybe- I only saw it live and don't remember exactly.

Also that Ukrainian fella was layed out for the full count, the one who fought Dunstan and Haye don't think he lasted a minute if you added both fights together.

Yes sorry Johnny Owen RIP. I wasn't trying to be in bad taste Ive watched the documentaries and read loads of stuff on it it's a sad story. When I saw Hatton last night and how out of it he was I immediately thought of Johhny Owen and was scared for a few moments we might be seeing something similar.

Anyone else think Hatton is really similar to Dave Green in so many respects - affable, down-to-earth brawler/fighter with great heart but limited defence and who got found out at the highest level?

I might be wrong but didn't Michael Brodie knock Neil Swain into the middle of next week when he won British title? I watched it back then and remember thinking it was one hell of a shot, but time might have made it seem better than it was.
