He really isn't "thick as sh*t". He seems quite intelligent to me, and non of these quotes you are giving us are particularly unintelligent.Finch wrote:Froch said

Re: Did Jermaine Taylor give Froch brain damage ?
Froch had started to become a little more humble prior to the Taylor fight, now he is back with all the arrogance and the calling out Joe shit. GOmez makes the piont Calzaghe has to win on points. Why would Joe hit full blast and break a hand again when he can win on workrate and fitness and secure a points victory. If Froch got his wish and Joe said "OK one more fight to shut you up" Calzaghe would beat him on points. I dont think its going to happen though Froch is to Calzaghe what Witter was to Hatton. I dont think Taylor gave Froch brain damage but fighting the way Froch does it may well happen during the rest of his career. You just cant fight the guys at the top and keep taking big shots like Froch does.
Re: Did Jermaine Taylor give Froch brain damage ?
So we all lay into Calzaghe (WBO title defences) and Hatton (WBU title defences at home), no big fights for many years - and Froch is "arrogant" for calling out a big name?
Eat some humble pie, get hold of a lesser belt and batter guys outside of the top 15. That is the alternative.
I guess he was also arrogant for calling out Taylor, a fight that almost didn't get made. He was probably arrogant for knocking him out, as well!
(That said, Carl did come across as an arrogant twit pre Dodson. I didn't really believe what he said about himself, but since then he has been delivering when the comp will turn up. So I don' t see the arrogance thing now so much.)
Froch is certainly more marketable than Witter. His last 2 fights were riveting. He does have to use the style that works from now on though.

Re: Did Jermaine Taylor give Froch brain damage ?
Froch, in his own words, doesnt know the difference between confidence and arrogance saying he thinks they are both the same thing. He did clean his act up and became quite likeable but post Taylor he is back talking the bollox again. Froch also sees himself as another David Haye willing to fight the best. Yes we do want to see the big fights but is Haye ready for Klitscho and is Froch ready for Kessler? We will soon be getting the answer to the first part of that question.Autobarn wrote:So we all lay into Calzaghe (WBO title defences) and Hatton (WBU title defences at home), no big fights for many years - and Froch is "arrogant" for calling out a big name?

He's still a twat, the Calzaghe stuff is making him look stupid.
