Mayweathers motives for signing the day before Paquio/Hatton

What are we to make of Mayweather signing to fight Marquez the day before, or on the morning of, the Pacquio v Hatton fight? Sure'ly a wise man would have waited to see how that fight played out, then weighed up the options.

I personally see no reason why he would need to fight anyone else other than Pacquio right now. Again he's pissed me off by not fighting the guy the fans want to see him fight. Marquez makes no sense to me. I dont agree that Mayweather needs a tune up fight, or whatever one wishes to call this. He should be getting straight in their with the Pac Man, but again, he's fcuking around and spoiling the sport!

For what its worth i think he has Pacquio's number, i'd much rather see Mayweather fight Cotto or Mosley, but he only seems interested in cherry picking styles he thinks he can deal with. Yeah, he'll probably fight Pacquio at some point, but give me one good reason why he's not fighting him now? ................ Mayweather's no Sugar Ray Leonard!

As to Marquez, i thought he was unlucky not to get the nod in their last fight, but i dont think he will carry the weight up to 140+. Pacquio has proved he can beat the big guys at 140 and 147, but Marquez has only fought twice at 135 and Mayweather's been at 147+ for his last five fights. I dont like this fight at all, there's plenty other names that come to mind for Mayweather to fight long before Marquez springs to mind!
