Klompton described it better than I can. It's not the gym of choice, however, how was ALI spending his time during this lay-off. Frazier wasn't getting any younger. Look at Durans career and the age he was when
he won some of his titles. The layoff could have helped him. Maybe
it gave him time to let his body heal and get stronger while everyone else was punishing theirs. Think about it!
'Layoff could have helped him'??? You're nuts.
"Sour" I meant "Sweet Scientist".
Ability to move on his feet. You really mean ability to run, beacuse that's what he did. His real ability was to take a punch. Otherwise his layoff would have been considerably longer than 3 years. And as for making Frazier look like an "amateur" that's clearly a rediculous statement based on nothing more than your biased rhetoric. You were more than likely praising him at the "dope a rope" or "rope a dope" or whatever with Foreman, now it's the layoff.

Yes, Rabid...I say 'move on his feet', You say 'run'...either way, it's something he could do before the layoff...and something he could not do (for more than a few rounds) after the layoff....

After that, in your above post, I have difficulty in understanding your point...

"His real ability was to take a punch. Otherwise his layoff would have been considerably longer than 3 years."

Just what the hell does that mean, exactly?

Maybe you might consider cutting back on the medication before posting...

Frankly, I'm amazed that you can spell "biased rhetoric"...but can't spell "rediculous"...which is what your post is, I believe...

Here we go again. "Before the Layoff".... "After the Layoff". When are you going to give it up. You just don't get it.

"His real ability was to take a punch. Otherwise his layoff would have been considerably longer than 3 years."
His ability to take big shots to the head and punishing shots to the body, enabled him to continue fighting. Correction "continue running". If he had not been able to do that he would not have been around. You can clearly see the results from that
today. By the way, your probably still working on getting your GED.
GOOD LUCK WITH THAT!
Please check my spelling. Your very mean spirited

"Mean spirited"? Go read your own posts, there Rabid...

You refer to "running" as though it's a bad thing...

Are you familiar with the concept of boxing?...if they aren't head bashing, toe to toe sluggers, they can't be any good....right?

And...I'll be glad to check your spelling, although you should do it yourself to avoid appearing like an illiterate moron...
