Dear Editors,
I noted that the Soldier Jones vs. Tex McEwan fight of November 1920, which was previously tagged as a Canadian Light Heavyweight title fight, is now listed as a non-title fight.
I was wondering why that was the case. Indeed, as appears from this website (http://www.harrygreb.com/soldierjones.html), which quotes an article from the Boxing News of August 1991, it has long been reported that the fight was indeed a Canadian Light Heavyweight Title Fight.
Thank you for your attention to this.
Regards,
Reenthelawman

I don't. At this stage, I'm just wondering why the tag was removed. I didn't want to start digging if someone already had the answer and had removed the tag for that reason.

I checked the Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail and can't find mention in the lead up stories to the fight or in the post-fight reports that this was for a title.Reenthelawman wrote:I don't.
