I don't know why people are socked and surprised. Hatton was always going to get KO'd by Manny. I thought Hatton would get to the 6th-7th, 8th at the most, round before getting KO'd, but he didn't adjust at all. After the bad first round.

I think last night showed what a bad boxer Hatton is. You get your ass spanked in the first round, so what do you do in the second round? Surely not the same fuking thing?

I shouldn't use the word bad. He's not bad, but he's no where near ATG level.

DG., Just wonder, are you a Hatton hater by any chance for some reason?

Brilliant from Pacman, he's the Bruce Lee of boxing!

I'm a bit gutted he lost so badly. If he was going to lose I was hoping it would at least be competitive, not a blowout. Shame, always a nice fella who gave 100% and could have easily dodged Pacman and Mayweather if he wanted to.

He disged Mayweather for years before he took the fight. We all know that.

Pacman? he thought he was going to bully him, he was wrong.

Psychologically, Hatton's going to be feeling like Foreman after the Ali loss for some time.

I hope PBF, Marquez, Pac and Mosley get down to business before the year's end.
the speed and power just blitzed him.

no answers to it.

knew he'd struggle with that style.

just had more of a devastating effect than i envisaged. :o

Did anyone see Hatton getting out the ring after the fight? His legs were still visibly shaking.

He won't come back from that.

That reminded me abit of when Honeyghan got blown away by Mark Breland in two rounds. Out of the ring lifestyle caught up with him - though Honeyghan was more of a party animal that Ricky.

PacMan couldn't miss with the right hand but finished with the left. Floyd Snr obviuosly didn't make any difference to Rickys defensive skills - he was face first and open as usual.

Manny was just too fast and accurate. I thought that Ricky would get a hiding but expected it over a fair few rounds - last night was a demolition.

I didn't get the best view due to stream but I'll tell you what..Pacman looked like he was going for a Sunday stroll with the Missus and kids, he looked THAT relaxed.
That's pretty unsual or a guy going into a world title fight against a heavier man, let alone for the supposed P4P.

no racial stereotyping going on in this thread then...
Lee was an American born Chinese, whereas Pacquiao is Philippino
And Les Battersby?......to be fair Hatton has been in the top ten or 15 P4Pers for a few years and top his own LWW tree for a few years too.

Pretty funny though I agree.

I thought he looked fine. I even said to my mates that he looks different from the Mayweather fight - I don't think anything can be blamed for this loss, apart from Pacquiao. Hatton fell short of elite but he is (or should I say was) a world-class fighter.

I assure you that she does know the difference, it is a throwaway quip.

Lee and Manny both have black hair, squinty eyes and can knock people back with short punches, that was the general gist.

I take it that we are all racists again
I was on about DG, I had forgotten it came from your missus.
And I was not at the centre of that Tyson Fury and all that racist bollocks either, so the answer to your question is no.

well nothing surprises you on this forum really does it lol but absolutely no sweat with me mate :TU:

I never saw it as an even match, I credit Ricky for taking it on in the first place.
If there was a more marketable fight out there for him I think Hatton would have avoided fighting Pac to be honest, so tough is the little fcker!
I did not envisage a finish like that though, not least cos De La Hoya was screwed and he still made it a few rounds, then the weight advanage etc.

A couple of years ago when I used to enjoy a punt I'd have had money on Pac but I definitley don't regret not doing....not really an enjoyable way to profit like that I don't think.

i wasn't having a go at you DG I was just playing devil's advocate. Bruce Lee wasn't Philippino and Ricky isn't Les Battersby. I know it wasn't meant to be racist or anything. :TU:
