Best KO ever for me is Thomas Hearns KO 2 Roberto Duran back in 1984. Duran had never before been stopped and had just gone the full 15 rounds against Hagler.

Mike McCallum Knocking out Don Curry comes close too, as does Curry knocking out Milton McCrory to unify the Welterweight titles back in 1985.

Michael Nunn vs Sumbu Kalambay.

Perhaps not the most comprehensive knockout but its rare to see such a blow-out between fighters at the highest level (which is why the Hatton ko was such a shocker).
Kalambay was a class fighter - it just shows anyone can go if they get caught right.

Robinson-Fullmer
Robinson-Graziano
Foster-Tiger
Patterson-Johansson II
Louis-Schmeling
Walcott-Charles (as good as Robinson's left hook finish against Fullmer)
Marciano-Walcott
Dempsey-Sharkey (a complaining Sharkey was lifted off the canvas, like Frazier against Foreman)
Valdez-Briscoe (the only time Briscoe was ever stopped)
Frazier-Foster (Foster broke his ankle in the fall)
Johnson-Ketchel (it left three of Ketchel's teeth embedded in Jack's right glove)
Foreman-Cooney
Benitez-Hope
LaMotta-Dauthuille (the ultimate come-from-behind knockout, in round 15)
Duran-Lampkin (Lampkin nearly took a trip to the morgue)
Spinks-Johnson (Mike Spinks)
Laporte-Lockridge
Tyson-Frazier
Lopez-Malvarez
Jones-Serwano (not nice)
Jackson-Graham
Hearns-Shuler
Saad Muhammad-Mwale

Gerald McClellan v Danny Mitchell, McClellan hit Mitchell with a straight right and made his body go completely stiff before falling to the canvas in true timmmmbeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrr fashion.

Anyone else think Hatton is really similar to Dave Green in so many respects - affable, down-to-earth brawler/fighter with great heart but limited defence and who got found out at the highest level?

Dave doesn't.

I felt similar when I saw Matthew Hall KO Ojay Abrahams a few years back on a show in Yorkshire. He must have been out for 15 minutes easy.
Also, Khan worried me a bit when Prescott put him down for the second time.

Pettway is a good one. Brown had a hell of a chin, that was really sad to see.

Gatti KO Joey Gamache was horrible.

Surprised no-one has mentioned Johnson KO Roy Jones Jr. Roy was actually asleep for a few minutes.

Me too, although some "fans" thought it was appropriate to boo him. I wonder how they'd have felt if he had been badly hurt.

Bruno knocked Jose Ribalalta out cold so violently that the national newspapers the next day were predicting he would beat Evander Holyfield.

Navarette against Boza is a good one. It was a balmy Italian night, the unknown Navarette, a southpaw Filipino, was a late sub for Bazooka Limon, yet he destroyed Boza Pacquiao-style.

Lewis knocking out rahman is my all time fave.
Naz knocking out sanchez was brutal.
Also Oliver McCall beating akinwande was a very underated knockout.

The Roy Jones KO of tough club fighter Art Serwano is most memorable not for the punch that felled the Ugandan native, but more for the 'silent scream' that hauntingly etched Serwano's face whilst he lay awkwardly on the canvas.

Nasty
