Dawson vs Tarver

Post by moody100 »

First of all, is this being shown?

Second, I think Dawson takes this again but there is an element of danger about this. Tarver has the power to take Dawson out and does well in rematches as we all know and Dawson does carry his hands low. I'm also not convinced about his chin and I do expect Tarver to land this time around.

However, Dawson beat him easily enough last time and it was the speed that Tarver couldn't take.

I'd pick Dawson but wouldn't bet on him.

Really tough fight this is!! I think 60/40 in Dawson's favour..I too think Dawson is susceptible to a big shot as he was hurt several times in the Johnson fight BUT he is extremley fit and skilful and I think that will prove the difference..

I go for Dawson in a closer one than last time!! If Tarver lands big though it will be curtains for Dawson..

Guys, I have no idea what you're debating about. I have rarely encountered a more pointless rematch.

Tarver was comprehensively bossed for ever minute of each of the twelve rounds.

He's a hundred and eight years old. He isn't getting any better, and he was hardly Bob Foster to start with.

What the hell is the point of this?

I would rather have seen Dawson in against a can of tuna fish than against Tarver.

Not interested.

I pray to the Setanta Guardian Angel we don't get this fight and they save their money on a decent one. How on earth Greenburgh can request this fight and turn down Froch v Taylor and Campbell v Judah is beyond me. It truly is.

Now watch this become the greatest fight of all time.

I also hold little interest in this bout, especially if Dawson schools the ageing Tarver as comprehensively as he did the first time round. Why HBO, and their double standards, are touching this is beyond me.

I think that Ross Greenberg is generally considered by those in the industry as a bit of an idiot, as evidenced by your example.

And you're right. I hope Setanta save what's left of their money and don't get this.

Bunce'll've told 'em, surely.
