One I am hearing from an aparent boxing fan is that the reason Joe Calzaghe didn't fight in the states often and isn't a popular as Ricky Hatton or had the superfights is because he is Welsh.

If anything, it is suddenly a viable fight again now they've both been crushed by Pacquiao. Not a top-drawer sporting contest anymore, but at least not the mismatch it appeared to be before.

One of my pet hates with the sport, old geezers who believe fighters of the past would always beat fighters of today, in some cases I agree but not most of the time have a look at all these records being beaten all the time.
