I was looking up some information on Vernon Allen and happen to see in his record that there is duplicated his fight of December 17, 1968 with Dave Hawkes. If you take out the duplication his record then is Won 12(KO 3) / Lost 23(KO 12) / Draw 1.
Also I was looking through some 1065 thru 1969 Boxing News papers I have and they all reference Allen as from Rhyl, Wales, UK. I later found a web page on a Rhyl newspaper article about his death in April 2008. He mentions that he was from Rhyl (assuming birthplace?) and he moved to Australia in 1970. Don't know if you want to place his birthplace as Rhyl?
