Pavlik v Mora Postponed
Pavlik v Mora Postponed
I cannot decide whether this is a crap fight or not. Mora is a former world champ in the lower weight division. Even if it was in fortuatious circumstances.

Think Mora is just going to be too small for Pavlik... Mora might frustrate him a bit, but Pavlik will get to him eventually. Not a fight that excites me really... Abraham is the only fight they should be trying to make at the moment.

Re: Pavlik v Mora Postponed
I hope Pavlik fights Strum or AA he should overcome Mora and fight for a unification with one of them he shouldnt move up to SMW he should stay at MW as theres a few big fights outthere for him
Re: Pavlik v Mora Postponed
Mora has decent skills and he's never been knocked out. It could turn out to be a good learning fight for Pavlik. It's just a shame that there aren't many top quality middleweights out there.
Re: Pavlik v Mora Postponed
I don't rate Mora's skills at all. He's just a herky jerky Malignaggi type, with zero power.
He was really big at light middleweight; he won't do anything up at middle. Mora can make it ugly but Pavlik will win when they do face off.

I'm a little bit shocked at the criticisms of this match up. Mora was a former Light Middleweight champion, he's a decent guy and was dead at the weight. Pavlik has been outboxed, and Mora has a good chin.
Far Far better than the last guy Pavlik faced.

That's kinda what I feel right now. I also think Mora might actually be the bigger fighter. He looked it when I saw him anyway. 170+.stujones wrote:I'm a little bit shocked at the criticisms of this match up. But he did fight a Forrest in the first fight that tried to drop waaaay too much weight too late in the build up.
There's better fighters in the division, but you could probably say that for a lot of title fights nowadays.

Re: Pavlik v Mora Postponed
If he's going to carry on down this route and avoid the other champions, i wouldn't mind seeing Pavlik in with Roman Karmazin.
He'd give him a stiffer test than Lockett and Rubio did, and it would be a better fight than Mora or Duddy.
I'm sure his team would fancy it since Karmazin's still a good name to have on his record, and he was ko'd a couple of fights ago at light middle. He's came back with a couple of wins and is looking for one last shot at middleweight, it could be made easily and cheaply enough.

Re: Pavlik v Mora Postponed
Pavlik has been taking easy matches since the Hopkins schooling making some fairly easy money at the mo it seems.
Re: Pavlik v Mora Postponed
In fact Lockett also before the Hopkins fight, so arguably 3 of his last 4 fights (including Mora) will have been against over-matched guys/guys from a lower weight etc.TheCobra wrote:Pavlik has been taking easy matches since the Hopkins schooling making some fairly easy money at the mo it seems.
