Usman is 5-1 his only defeat coming on his pro debut against edwards
Was hoping Edwards would defend the title against Ashley sexton but it was not meant to be, maybe the winner should fight him

Sexton will certainly get his chance. There is not much competition around at the weight so he should get the nod next I think.

Heres hoping the disgusting racism that was evident during the first fight isnt in their second. very rarely am I embarassed at a boxing event, but the stoke fans that night showed their true colours. Not a minority at kings hall either.

Back to boxing, Usman gave Edwards a tough fight considering...

Surely Ahmed and Sexton should be fighting for the English title or be paired in a final eliminator with each other, with the winner to get a crack at Edwards. The Wayne Bloy defence was too one sided for a Britsh title fight. Ahmed and Sexton haven't even done an 8x3's yet (i think).

The "fans" up there chanted continuously at the Asian lad in the ring, and also his parents and younger brother who were on the opposite side of the balcony.

It was a good fight though. Sme night as one of the worst fights Ive ever had the displeasure of watching live. Judex Meema against Scott Lawton.

They should be made to box in an 8 or 10 rounder before boxing for the British title. Looks like another cheap Friday night Sky fight between novices.

Hey guys thanks for the comments im glad that the people that matter(you, the people watching the fights at home on tv or buying tickets) want to see me in fights!It means alot!
Just so you know there was talk about me maby fighting for an English title i heard maby with Bloy but it came to nothing as the fly weight division is so small i think im going to be next in line for a crack at the winner of Edwards V Ahmed and im confident of beating both iv already beaten ahmed in the ams!
also with reguards to the rounds iv been in 2x 8x3s but stopped both opponents my last fight in the 6th but iv trained for a 10rounder that got moved down to an 8 so the rounds wont be a problem for me!im on the undercard of edwards v ahmed in another 8rounder!i think ahmed has done 6x3s afew times!
i think that ahmed will be 5or6 rounds up on edwards when he gets stopped in the 8-9 as edwards will just keet walking him down and braking him down!

weird. i had Scott Lawton in my dream last night. someone from his camp was telling me Scott walked around at 13 stone. i thought to myself, 'crikey Lawton does well to get down to the lightweight limit'. yeah. that was all, I think.

Ash it wont go that far, Edwards will be Way to seasoned for Ahmed, cant see him losing many rounds at all, it wont go past the 6th imo...

From where I was sitting it wasn't audible and it definitely wasn't the whole crowd. Gary Reid was in the same row as me and was smiling away and chatting to fans all night. I've been at venues before when just because 30 or 40 fans are screaming their heads off in one part, they are not always heard elsewhere, because of equally loud chanting.


Despite the lack of depth in the 8st division, Sexton and Ahmed have had absolutely no experience of any sort of distance beyond 6 rounds. Yes Ahmed gave Edwards a few things to think about and he's gained experience since then, but the first fight was over 2 minute rounds, and Edwards has also improved into a 12 round fighter.

This was the football crowd on the balcony, I was sat in the press row. Both myself in the press, and a mate of mine who had tickets in the general seating, which was down below them (althugh Kings hall is hardly the MEN) heard it clearly. Ahmeds family were stood directly above us and some of the chanting was directed at them, the rest at Ahmed himself, very loud, very audible, as were those fans all night with their chanting, although they only came in between pints. From memory it was the night Aaron Thomas decked a journeyman, possibly Aarons debut.

As for the fight Ahmed put upa good shwoing last time, but edwards appears to have moved on.
