Does anyone know if "Fireman" Jim Flynn and Dan "Porky" Flynn were related?

Doubt it. Jim Flynn wasn't his real name. I can't remember his real name but he had an Italian surname and his first name was Andrew.

'Fireman' Jim Flynn's real name was Andrew Chiariglione.

one source cites his name as Chiariglione. Another cites it as Haymes. Either way, he probably was not a Flynn.

Andrew Haymes was just another pseudonym he fought under. His birth surname was the Italian one.
