If it was not fought strictly by the rules of boxing, should it be on Hopper's record? Ali fought a lot of exhibitions during his career but none of them are on his record.

Scheduled six 3-minute rounds is hardly an exhibition. During 1 minute 29 seconds nothing happened that was inconsistent with boxing rules. Had he won, I'm sure he would've wanted it recorded.

Im 6'3 and fight at about 115kg with a 76' reach.

Ive had a few good fight offers since my last fight on 4/4.

My heart is with Kickboxing but i love the fight game wether its Boxing or MMA.

I am very keen to give the Boxing a go as im predominatly a puncher in Kickboxing but it would be a long way down the track before i fought someone of the caliber of Shane Cameron.....there is a differnce between Boxing in a Kickboxing fight and Boxing in a Boxing fight.

John Wayne Parr managed to mix the 2 well, but like yourself his heart was in kickboxing. He only started boxing to help out Gold Coast promoter Mark Erickson, who's card was falling apart at short notice.

Also: as well as John Wayne Parr, Ray Sefo mixed Boxing and the Kickboxing up and it didn't work out too well for him, one mistake in my weight division ( more so than any other ) and your gone, so you do have to be carefull about mixing them both up at a high level.

There is heaps more money at the top level of boxing than kickboxing but im a long way off from boxing at the top level.

Ben I am a huge fan of yours,, I just discovered you recently when a better quality version of your fight with Hoppa came out not long ago. So you want to be a pro boxer? Well from the 4 fights I've seen on youtube of you, I believe you are the best big man we have in Oz,, you have a really good style, beautiful punches and you are heavy handed. I would say, find a really good trainer(In the states if possible. Look up Mike Tyson's old trainer Kevin Rooney in New York,send him your fight collection) who will tighten up your technique to world class,,train super hard and get super fit and fight every 2 weeks and I think you could be Heavyweight Champion of the World! Seriously!
I am an avid boxing fan of 22 years and I have watched(Tapes,Docos) and studied all the great fighters of about Joe Louis's era onwards and I see in you something special,,good luck with it man.

Ben,,do everything right mate. You have a lot of talent and with the right nurturing, you could be a champion of the world,,just do everything right,training,right management and deals,,don't sign bad contracts man,look after your best interests but entertain all opportunities because you could go a very very long way in a global boxing ring.

Kickboxing,I don't see much kicking,just good hands against other kickboxers,I will congrads against hoppa but I didn't think much of him anyway.I will put my hand up though if your looking to further your career in boxing,seems you'll have alot of support judging by the threads.Lets see where the ball bounces!

Hey Ben,

Stick at what your good at and where your heart is. Based on your previous comments and from what I've seen and heard of you, I think kick boxing will put you in a much stronger position at a world title shot than switching to boxing. When your've achieved your major goals then you can work out where you go from there with a good team around you.

Dont get caught up with the money BS and all the promises some people offer you in boxing, because your will to stay in the game wont last long...

Just to clarify i am 25 years old, 6'3, fight at about 115kg and i am the 2x Super Heavyweight WKA Australian Champion and the ISKA World Champion, which is the biggest and most well respected federation in kickboxing. I am defending my world title in Canberra on 8/8 but after that i am open to some boxing fights especially 'Hoppa' but i don't think his management will let me smash him again.
