So who's effing decision was it to dump the orgninal trainer? So whos fault is it overall? Team hattons.
You decided you didnt want the devil you know dumped him like an unwanted dog after xmas and now you have the gall to moan about the new trainer.
Piss off, you made the decision so you have to live with that decision no excuses.
Sorry but this is starting to tarnish what has been a great career.

sorry its no good moaning about it now, they knew what the man was like after the paulie fight and when things went well, its all smelling of fornicating roses and how they have refined his style etc...
when they lose he is wanker? That may be the case but TEAM HATTON made this decision and they should have the dignity to admit they got it wrong apologise to Billy Graham and the way they have treated him and shut up bleating.
Search, while I think these actions are deplorable Hatton will still remain a hero of mine, he has given me many great nights both live and on tv but this is enough now. Ray needs to shut up...what is it about small men having to be heard ...... Napolean syndrome I think its called.
No ones cares Ray about your crap excuses. Your making your son look bad.

Sounds as af they undermined Floyd Senior by giving Lee Beard too much say?
The greedy Hattons most likely used Mayweather Senior as a way to get to Jr!

Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
Reading that article he doesn't mention any specifics, just says "some things weren't right".
If Ray Hatton really thinks he should have pulled out he should tell us why, otherwise it just sounds like piss poor excuses. Especially as just days before the fight (while all this shit was meant to be happening) Ricky hatton himself was telling anyone who would listen that he was in the best shape of his life etc.
In regards of coming out with the dirt on Floyd snr they should have kept quiet. Everyone knows what he's like and sniping back in the media is just going down to his level. If the Hattons just held their hands up and said Manny was just too good and took defeat graciously then everyone would love Hatton, you know what us Brits are like, we love a good, humble loser.

There's two sides to every story, so I'm sure it will not be too long before Floyd snr gives us his take on what went down!
You can't just blame one guy!
All this about not wanting to pull out of the fight because of loyalty to the fans - Ricky was in the biggest fight of his life, arguably the most important bout of his career, so if he felt he wasn't adequately prepared he should have pulled out! Ricky said it was his dream to become P4P NO.1, so anything, the fans included, should not have been that important if he didn't feel ready for the task ahead!
Ricky said he was in the best shape of his life. We, as fans, can only go by what we are told!

Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
Hatton got caught early because he was so much out of pacquiaos league.
Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
Before the fight hatton was saying it was the best camp he has ever had, now i know he is bound to say that it was a good camp but why say it was the best, if there were problems? If the problems were so bad why not get rid of floyd? I know it would cause disruption but if detected early there would be time.
No matter what i doubt hatton could have won that fight
It is evident that there were problems and floyd should be ashamed of his alleged conduct, personally the only mayweather i can stand is jeff.

I agree with Ray Hatton and think Ricky should be given a rematch with Pacquaio if that 'wasn't the real Ricky'. They are seriously showing themselves up as some bad losers now
Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
J, know what you are saying - but maybe Mayweather wasn't like this for the Malignaggi fight. It could be like buying a car for the first 6 months great, then it starts proving unreliable. I don't think there were right in the Graham camp also, why leave after a win - why not make the excuse of the Mayweather loss.... it seemed so odd the timing of that decision.J wrote:but who made the deicsion to hire him so who is ultimately responsible?hitman_hatton1 wrote:hiring floyd mayweather sr was always gonna end in a mess.

So many unanswered questions all of it is speculation. There is obvious at least "partial" truths coming from camp Hatton, Graham is starting to feel the pace of a hard hard physical regime... he's admitted that his health isn't the best, and Mayweather has admitted to being late for training (which is unproffesional)... is Mayweather always like this?

Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
Ricky has never pulled out of a fight - because he has always wanted to get paid so bad.
During the WBU title days when Hatton was getting made into a mulit millionaire earning up to £7 million under allegedly - Ray Hatton actually had the nerve to complain that Warren was giving Ricky too hard a fights.
Thats right - Ray wasnt happy that allegedly was feeding Ricky the likes of a 40 year old Vince Philips and blown up Super Featherweights who Hatton got to break his rib and stop him in a few rounds.
Ray has never wanted honur and glory and being the best.
Ray only ever gave his blessing to the Mayweather and Manny Pac fights because there was a mountain of money to be made in each and evey one.
Hatton got sparked out so impressively by Manny Pac- I dont care if Hatton had the best training camp of his life and was at his peak - he was going down in that fight - sooner or later.
It just turned out sooner than most thought.

The chest infection for the Urango fight is very true Rhino - seriously mate I was there and the tw*t gave me the same as what he had - and others who were stupid enough to play pool and cards with him in the lead up to that fight - it was due to the infection etc etc they got the idea of travelling a lot sooner to Vegas for the Castillo fight and using the UFC house and also their gym.

Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
Hatton got battered, there are no excuses, poor camp this, trainer issues that. End of the day Ricky has been boxing for most his life, he stands and falls by his own boxing skill when he gets in that ring.
If he was more dedicated to the game in his early-middle years he might have got rid of bad habits like defending with his face, holding his guard low and not yo-yoing in the weights and being a pisshead from tameside, he might have ended up having more punch resistance at the age of 30.
As it is he has stood and fallen by his own decisions, there can be no excuses whatsoever.
If I could ask Ricky Hatton one question it would be, if you could go back to the start of your career, would you not drink and try to be more dedicated?
I see it as this, it's all well and good having a laugh with your mates that you are this pisshead world champion boxer (which Im sure he did and he has milked it enough in the press), but during all those times did he not consider that the pinnacle of his career was yet to come and that by the time he got to that pinnacle his lifestyle and reckless fighting style would end up being his undoing? I see a prime Hatton as having a fairly good chance against pacman, definitely of lasting several rounds and having a go anyway.
Anyways that became a random rant, but gist being Hatton made all the decisions which caused his own downfall in the end, there can;t be any blame whatsoever attributed to anyone else. End of rant.

Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
You know really its history repeating itself, not too many have mentioned it but Kosta , besides only doing a few rounds in the previous twao years , coming off injuries bla bla , well he was probably a victim off his life style has well , because Kosta was \is a bigger pisshead than Hatton , he used to ballon up between fights more than Hatton did.
Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
Sounds to me like he's going to box again. Be gutted if he does. Have always been a Hatton fan and even though I lost a few quid on him getting dished by Pacquiao I thought/hoped he'd accept it gracefully and call it a day. Camp can't of been that bad as Ricky was telling people to re-mortgage their houses and back him if I remember rightly!
Re: Ray Hatton Speaks
How dare you even suggest that. Only Ricky Hatton is allowed to make excuses. If Kostya was out partying he was an idiot, if Ricky was out getting obese, than he should be given a rematch because it wasn't the best Ricky in that ring.coneye wrote:You know really its history repeating itself, not too many have mentioned it but Kosta , besides only doing a few rounds in the previous twao years , coming off injuries bla bla , well he was probably a victim off his life style has well , because Kosta was \is a bigger pisshead than Hatton , he used to ballon up between fights more than Hatton did.
And why is no one mentioning the crazy fans in attendance? They were singing so loud that he didn't hear Mayweather tell him to put his hands up, thus leading to the knockdowns. Did anyone else ever consider that maybe Hattons shoes were tied too tight because he didn't want a repeat of the Lazcano fight, and there for he was unable to close the distance quickly enough?
I also forgot to mention that he was on the Craig Ferguson show the night before the fight, which clearly distracted him from the task at hand. Our Ricky was so disappointed at his showing the previous night that his mind was in another place come fight time, not to mention he had to go through the agony of seeing his phenomenal brother Matthew getting punched in the face, which is never easy for a family member.
And of course Ricky is engaged to a lovely women. How on earth do you expect him to be in tip top form when he is busy planning his wedding?
When you add up all these factors it is obvious to everyone but the biggest haters that that was not the real Hitman in the ring, if Ricky was at his best than it would have been a massacre with Pacquiaos blood staining the canvas, aka Hatton KO 1. Pacman should man up and give a rematch to the REAL pound for pound king.

Or are you suggesting they didnt realise that Mayweather was a bit of a loose cannon?
Also this failing health thing re BG is a load of old bollox, Beard was there and could take the physical stuff, didnt bother Roach training pac and he has fookin parkinsons for crying out loud you can see he is struggling sometimes or are you suggesting that Billys hands are a bigger hinderence than a delibilitating disease?
Do you think Cus damato was in there taking shots on the heavy bag off mike tyson or Angelo Dundee sparring frazier? No of course not there are ways of working around these things. Fact is they cast Billy off like an unwanted rag doll and now its bit them in the arse. GOOD.
The fact is that rarely when a boxer has been with a trainer for many years and been developed under him does a switch do any good. The comparison with Naz here are very relevant I think.
Family members taking control and making ego based decisions that ultimately affect the fighter himself.
You reap what you sow. I dont blame ricky to be honest but i blame those wispering poison in his ear.
