Dave Parris, who I know posts on here, had a bad night there. And as for the doctor, well he should head for Eastenders.

Both boxers, and both corners were all over the show in the last six minutes.

WTF?? he was only asked one question!! Rematch ?? he said I'd like to move on to bigger things....what's up with that? he scraped through by the skin of his teeth what doyou expect?
Rogan lost but spoke for a minute or 2 , Sexton spoke for 10 seconds. Cut him some slack.

However.. Sexton is car crash tv. Looks great, but by jimminy he's chinny. He will be fun to watch.
agreed abbo... sexton is great to watch. hes a decent little boxer but his chin is poor (the first time rogie caught him properly he was dancing in the ring). but i like sexton though, he's a tidy little boxer when he puts it together. I wish he had more conviction and went after rogan tonight because with a bit more aggression he could have got him out of there. he had rogan in real trouble early. i was thinking about placing a big bet on rogan all week but talked myself out of it and instead told myself I would bet as I was watching the fight... luckily i came out with a tidy little profit.

I think this highlights the sh*ttyness of audley too.

also, when this fight was made, i posted that it was a bad fight for rogan to take. he didn't have to take it. he could have looked to the world scene. he is technically deficient and could have cashed out a bit, fighting someone bigger and for more money.

finally, watt was very poor in the commentary booth there.

I thought the doctor covered Rogan's open eye and asked him how many fingers he was holding up. I thought Rogan responded one when it was in fact two.
What else can the doctor do in the situation? It was Parris' fault for choosing to intervene at that time

That eye was just as bad when he looked at it previously, but he nonchalantly said carry on. Where was the finger count then?

Then at the end of the seventh he was party to the dialogue in the corner where everyone accepted the eye was fooked and therefore it was one-more-round. Sorry, but the doc gets paid to look out for the fighters health beyond the ring.

He doesn't look good enough to move onto bigger and better things. I don't think he should be talking about a fighter he very nearly got beat by like the guy is small time.

Maybe it wasnt as bad maybe he could see the eye its hard to tell on the screen. Then the second time he used the fingers and was justified in doing so and it was clearly the right decision. Hope its put on youtube soon want to look at it again but im sure i heard rogie say something funny to the doc but have to see it again

It maybe he just clams up a bit in front of the cameras but Sexton does come across as a bit of an arrogant sod. Its not bravado he just doesn't seem like a nice guy. Of course he may be a different proposition when he's down the local with a few jars in him and the bar maid giving him the come on. For all I know under such circumstances he's a complete riot. :TU:

Think I had it 4/3 to Rogan at the end of the 7th.

Am I alone in this?

Had the 1st even and gave the 6th to Rogan. The rest to Sexton. The 7th was bordering on a 2 point margin. Sort of thought at the time that Rogie should have been stopped at the end.

I read nothing into Sexton's interview. I've never met the fella. Rogan lost (very sportingly yet a bit unluckily) YET he was inteviewed first and said "He's not the kind of fella that gives rematches" about Sexton...what the fcks that all about.
And don't forget Rogan forearm smashed him in the face at the end of round 4 cos he was getting beat...it's okay being sorry but come on!!
Sexton has fought Chisora, Prizefighter (beat the finalist Chris Burton on his own patch) and now has done something noone has done before and beaten Rogan, in Belfast!
If that's not what this sport needs then what the hell do people want.

Yes , he was extremely lucky to not get stopped and I think he will look at this and hopefully give Rogie the rematch.

I wonder if Warren is sad or happy at the outcome of this fight. It seemed an odd one... kind of a backward step (on paper) for his big ticket selling fighter, and always had the words "bannana skin" about it.

Just wondering if Warren is happy that his younger heavyweight won.

Ah I didnt realise Sexton was under Warren too. I think Rogan is clearly the ticket seller and this was a defo potentially difficult fight style-wise for ROgan, not the best matchmaking but without the eye injury I think Rogan would have got to Sexton as he was already doing.

Sexton didn't have a clue where he was, he was wandering around in a daze. He could barely talk let alone celebrate.

Sorry not sure that he is either, just he has appeared on lots of SN/FW bills (aside from Prizefighter) so kind of assumed he was.

I think Rogan said that as joke though Sexton then went on to confirm his suspicions by pretty much saying that if it was up to him he would be 'moving on to bigger and better things'. Thats a bit absurd considering how lucky he was to win. I also never saw him smile once , just like in prizefighter, and he's general dismissive of his opponent's abilities. I mean Sexton won via a swollen eye caused by a clash of heads. He benefited from an injury. He has to acknowledge that and do the honourable thing.
Like I said I'm only (and somewhat tongue in cheek) basing my observations of Sexton's attitude on what I've seen. I'm more than prepared to accept that its just a done for the cameras. :TU:

How did degales opponent look? I remember allegedly importing a guy who was 10-0 for Khan, and he was diabolical.

Degale's opponent looked like he had never boxed before, didn't have the basic rudimentaries of defence. Degale on the other hand was fairly punch perfect and did the job well..
I don't think Degale should concentrate on being to popular, it never hurt Eubank, the most important thing is to get the job done.
