No disrespect to Mr Parris, I don't go round compiling a list of good and bad performances.....did he chuck out Barney last month or was that Davies I get mixed up??

Lol, maybe Mickey "what's this towel??? I'll fckin say when it's over" Vann should do it.

I'm not dissing Parris, I'd have to watch it clearly, on the the stream there was some daft advert obscuring the first 4 rounds for me before it disappeared.

LOL at one of the disgruntled wags on betfair:

"When I see Dave Parris, I'm going to smack him - big right hand straight on the jaw (though he will probably warn me for hitting on the back of the head).

If sexton wont give Rogan a re-match, He should be stripped of the title
I do think that Parris should have stopped it or at least not jumped in and given Marty a warning when Sexton was slumped with his back turned in the corner. :o I mean the more I write that the more ludicrous it is that Parris A) Gave chose that moment to give a warning B) Didn't stop the fight.
But if it had gone to the cards then I think Sexton wins it by a few rounds. The 6th and 8th were Rogan's only big rounds when he nearly had Sexton out. If it hadn't been for the eye then Rogan would have stopped him either way but Parris just lost control and it was an inane and inept display.
The reason the fight didn't go the cards is that that particular rule is stupidly not applied in British or Commonwealth title fights.
God I mean up until recently only the ref would judge them. So bloody arcane.

It should happen within 4-5 months but we'll see. Its a damn shame as Rogan-Willaims would have been terrific. Marty's problem is that Warren may want to serve up Sexton to Chisora who he appears to want to fast track all of a sudden that is if Williams doesn't take the Chisora fight.

I thought Sexton was winning the fight from a points perspective - whilst the Ref did not have a good fight - Rogan's inexperience shone through when he could have knocked Sexton out.

he robbed himself Adam. He Parris was "questionable" but Rogie had it within his own hands to keep his title and for one reason or another he didnt.

Far too soon though considering how knackered they were and especially Rogan's eye. it just get this feeling the wheels may be totally off the Rogan bandwagon now and that his chance to progress to a massive fight are gone. Hope I'm wrong but at 38 and considering the way he performed throughout most of the fight I would be pleasantly surprised if he does win another major belt.

Rogan's no mug, and he's no saint either...he's KO'd a few on that bloody Gaelic Games Rugby/soccer/hockey business before...I don't think he wanted to commit legal murder by letting fly the big sporting bastard. Good on you Rogie you're a top man and you deserve a REMATCH.

Whatever happens Martin Rogan has been a breath of fresh air totally out of the blue. Good on him.

I hope he gets he rematch and I think he can win it.

Well done to Sexton it must be said, he's 24, he lost his grandfather 10 days ago which can hardly help, and he's done better than anybody yet against Rogie.

There has GOT to be rematch here.

Definitely on the Rogan's sporting behaviour point which considering the circumstances was completely ludicrous however in my opinion Parris's display was not so much questionable as bordering on the embarrassing. I mean in that 8th round its safe to say that confusion reigned.

Yeah but that's the game. I notice Sexton didn't hesitate lamping him when he dropped his hands.

I think my judgement has been clouded and i am talking from my pocket. Realistically Rogan probably got robbed by Paris. Sexton was slouched on the ropes, READY to be KOd and Paris intervenes and tells Rogan not to hit behind the head (when Rogan didn't and Sexton was the one who turned). Then he takes Rogan to see the doctor and calls it off, Rogan would likely have stopped Sexton if he didn't do it at that point.

If I had of put my original bet on Rogan I would be seething.

i would be inclined to agree with that confirmation.

i checked the odds with laddies b4 the bout....Rogan 1/5.....inside 8/11
Sexton 100/30.....inside a whopping 13/2.

I didn't bet though I've funded the bastards enough there's no sure thing in this game.

Rogan had no vision out of that eye what-so-ever and a bang on call from the ref and Doc. Good fight, good stoppage.

"Good reffing" :o What utter pish you talk. No one disputed the stoppage but you can conveniently ignore the fact he pulled Rogan off him to issue a warning for a non-existent rabbit punch and never said a thing to Sexton about spitting out his gum shield (which is an automatic point deduction) all you want as it just shows your either biased as hell towards Sexton or you have no idea what you were looking at.

Since when has it been an automatic point deduction DICK Head. read the rules you effing retard.
Hard man behind a key board I see. Take your bullshit somewhere else you little troll. So purposefully spitting your gumshield out to waste time while being attacked is not a point deduction is it? Indeed it doesn't even warrant a warning does it? :o
You have no argument so you resort to insults which will presumably get you kicked out of here. Thats gonna be some loss. But why don't you do us all a favour and just jog on eh? There's a good chap.

Parris splits them in the sixth with two minutes to go when they are not holding and Rogan was unloading on Sexton and has him in the corner.

2.48 to go in the 8th - Rogan rocks Sexton, Sexton turns his back and hides/shields his head at the turnbuckle. Rogan keeps throwing and glances off his shoulder and catches him with a left hook/uppercut. Parris calls a time out and admonishes Rogan for hitting on the back of the head. This rewards Sexton for turning and hiding in the ring and gives him time to recover.

again at 1.16 to go, Parris gets involve to stop the action unecessarily when Rogan is pushing forward again.

With 1.00 to go Sexton spits his gumshield out and gets another break, Sexton then continues to clinch and hold - all let slide by Parris.

0.22 Rogan catches him with an uppercut and Sexton is going backwards and holds on for dear life - 17 seconds to go when Sexton it finished and its all Rogan then Parris stops the fight and bring Rogan to the doctor.

I'm still seething!!

Rogan took it with such class - I beat Magee wasnt a calm!
