Boxers Meet & Greet Events - How To Keep Track Of Them?

Post by Poncey »

Every so often someone on here mentions that a fighter is visiting Britain for an event where you can meet them (Frazier in Cardiff, Hagler in Blackpool, Holmes in Bristol, etc, etc).

Is there a website that advertises all of these events as I never see them advertised?

Sometimes there in Boxing News. I guess it's more word of mouth.

I went to one withAlexis Arguello & Aaron Pryor a few years back was a good night to be fair. Though they seem more expensive these days.

Hatton is up here in Southport on friday,

It was quite a shock that the organisers managed to get him here, the last time we a had a national star up here was when Jodie Marsh was outside Springbok Trekkers puking her guts up while telling everyone she was alright,

I won't be going to this dinner though, I have to look after my offspring these days. No social life whatsoever now.

Curious, does Brian London do after Dinner Speaking. Met Him a few times, found Him a lovely guy and interesting. Bet it would be a good night.

Went to the Hatton Sportsman Dinner last night in Southport.

Was quite a good night overall, Ricky sat there with a face on all night but his speech was actually quite funny.

He's obviously got a deep hatred for Man Utd, and then he goes on about Cristiano Ronaldo being a 'dickhead', then Junior Witter.

Don't think he appreciated me heckling him though when he was slagging off Witter, 'You're the one who fvcking swerved him Ricky!!'.

The comedian brought in was quite good as well, Tony Gardner i think his name is - little old man in a wheelchair, talking him about the time he had Stephen Hawking off in a fight.

Plenty of quality gifts on Auction, just managed to stop meself competing with the money men sat at the front. Plenty of signed stuff from the likes of Sugar Ray Leonard, Jake LaMotta, Smokin' Joe Frazier.

Plenty more happened but i'm struggling to remember anything, had a mate working there supply free drinks so you can guess how the night entailed...

Banjo, well worth going to the next one :TU:

I sh*t one for a moment, i couldn't get me head around him laying into Witter so i gave him stick back, to be briefly glared at by the Fatman (however small he is) is pretty daunting.

Recommend it next time though mate :TU:

Hey jBacca have a look at the comments on here - http://www.southportforums.com/forums/s ... d=50402679

Is it you posting as souSer_lar or is you who he is referring to the "knobhead heckiling him throughout"
