Good read Jamie Moore seems so down to earth hope he gets a world title shot i cant think of anyone who deserves it more also i would love to see Moore-Rhodes a brilliant British match up of 2 fighters who came back from nowhere and are now near world title shots for me Moore wins

Mooresy's been on cracking form. You can see it in his performances especially in the last 3 fights - looks like he's really ready for something. He's looked bloody good, and I hope he gets a world title shot.

My only regret about things is that Jamie and his manager did not go on their own - what I mean is this:

Promoter: Steve Wood - VIP Promotions

Top of the bill: Jamie Moore

Supporting fights: the multitude of fighters who are good and some reaching title level from Wood's stable.

I simply do not understand why on earth they do not break away from their present promoters.

Wood has arguably the strongest stable of boxers in this country.

Excellent read. I'd take Jamie to hammer Forrest as well going on recent performances he looks in the form of his life, he just needs a fight that will put him in that mandatory spot asap

that aside, isn't it easier for the VIP fighters to get on Sky, being with Maloney?

Wood does seem to manage a lot of good exciting boxers, but apart from Moore how many of them are ready to top bills and headline on Sky Sports?

That said, Sky Sports has been shite, with very little substance, and I suppose some of the stuff that makes Channel M would be as worthwhile as some of the Sky Sports main events. But perhaps VIP need some more champs of British level?

they couldn't go wrong showing Moore, Thompson, Matvienko, Moran, Arnfield et al....good British talent...exciting to watch.

My point is and I have banged on about it for at least 5 years is that Steve Wood has a stable of boxers who could put on a number of decent TV shows throughout any year.

You mention top of the bills etc etc and who could headline other than Moore - maybe so - but it wont be long before there are other boxers knocking on the door with regards to the domestic scene.

I think if the likes of Matvienko, Rose and of course Martin Murray win some domestic titles - which they look capable of doing - then you may have a point. But is there any sign that Wood isn't happy working with Fraink? Are there any fighters who feel they are not making progress/finding their potential fighting on the Channel M shows?

Ha ha yes i did but to be fair to Arnie he was retired and i was training for the 3rd Jones fight.
I was doing it for a local hospice who looked after my Mrs' Grandad before he died last year, so we we're both raising money for them.

Well you started beside me at the the chip shop on Portland Street however I got off to a flyer but the asthma and ponch kicked in around the United ground and I walked for a bit and you passed me again. I finished in 1.09.

I would have said hello except I didnt want to wreck yer head with me gushing over the Macklin fight, your Irish title and how you should be a world champion by now if you wernt ducked for so long at Euro level.
