and if the ref looked at the fight properly, he would of seen the first big punch that had sexton rocked he (sexton) had to hold onto rogan and they clashed heads in the clinch so in my opinion the fight (fair enough it was stopped on the eye) should of went to the scorecards with rogan winning by at least 1 or 2 rounds
If sexton wont give Rogan a re-match, He should be stripped of the title
but they don't go to the scorecards for accidental head clashes in Brit & Commonwealth fights do they?
The guy who can't carry on loses which seems unfair regardless of the scores.

It was ironic Jim Watt's commentary about 40 seconds before the end.... he says something like. There is no way the fight will be stopped at the end of this round now, Rogan is back in the fight.... No Jim, it was stopped even before that!!!

It was a rediculous timing, was the eye any worst than before? was Rogan getting beat up? Yes, fighters safety is paramount - but it wasn't Rogan whose health Paris should have been concerned about AT THAT TIME.

Had the fight been stopped in the 7th, then no complaints. But Sexton, in the 8th, couldn't take advantage of the fact Rogan had one eye - so Why stop it?

thats a fair point stu.

If Rogan had been stopped in the 7th when Sexton was having a dominant spell then there wouldnt have been this outrage.

Parris has been having a few off nights recently.
Agreed - thought this was another fussy, and at times inexplicable, performance from the man.

Rogan should've put it beyond all doubt, though.

Dave Parris Classic Performances?

Post by DG. »

As a foillow on to the KLhan Vs Kotelnilk.

List the DP howlers!

I say Hatton Vs KT!

DP is a weird one, the board do not seem to do anything about his nonsense.
Watch Hatton vs KT - it was a disgrace, he might as well have held KT and let Hatton hit him!

Danny Williams Vs Sprott?

Sexton Vs Rogan!

Barker Vs Mcdermott?

DP is the worst high profile ref we have.

The "top" three for me were

3) Choi vs Matthews... a complete reversal to the McDermmot vs Barker job...

2) Khan vs Barrera

1) Tyson vs Saverese - Bottle job.
