Patterson UD
whether he got knocked down the most or not doesn't matter, nine times out of ten, Patterson also got up more times than any other HW champ in history!
Re: Who Would Win - Patterson vs. McCall
Sadly as much as I am a HUGE Patterson fan. I can not see
him beating a motivated, in shape McCall.
Sorry Floyd :(

Easy Patterson UD. McCall was a almost always a lethargic type of fighter, many times he looked like he was in a lazy sparring session. If old man Holmes could fight him close, Patterson would box circles around him.
Re: Who Would Win - Patterson vs. McCall
I think Patterson would win a tough decision, similar to the Bonavena fight, he's just too busy for the lethargic McCall, though of course McCall is capable of knocking him out.

Patterson by decision. Bonavena and Chuvalo were also hard-hitting, extremely durable guys but more active than the sleep-walking McCall.

Over 15 rounds, Patterson is knocked down twice, but wins 12 of the other 13 rounds, taking it somewhere in the vicinity of 145-138 on each scorecard for a clear majority decision.
