After reading the forums and with this weekends refereeing issues I was wondering can anyone remember or ever heard of a boxing referee been downgraded. Someone on another forum mentioned that premiership football refs can and do get demoted to lower league divisions. Cant say I have ever seen this happen in boxing but no doubt some of you might know of such incidents.
I'm not saying that any of our refs should be downgraded mind, just interested to know...

Mike Jacobs was downgraded from A`Star` to A in the late 80s or early 90s. Some refs have also had their licences revoked.

And I now recall Billy Aird losing his license, or remember all the fuss over it anyway.
