i know i was ringside, he was crap, caught shamba once in round five i think it was, that was more or less it, he hit the canvass more times than he hit mitchell.

Ahh this is just so piss poor. Needless to say I wont be going so thats a good few hundred theyve lost cos I usually get a few people together.

i know what they are doing.

a) they think Zoo will beat mitchell and he will move up to welterweight leaving Hatton not paying purse bid fee if the title is vacant for his to fight the number 2 contender

b) think that mitchell will beat zoo and they can get mitchell over here.

This'll be the spin; Stewart is actually a big name. Bigger than Gatti, Tszyu, Witter, Judah, Cotto, Harris and Urkal. Sadly not as big as Mitchell, Mayweather or Spadafora though.

Warren of course will fail to mention it's the number of letters he's talking about, leading to a state of mass confusion amongst Hatton's loyal fans.

Hatton has been ranked number one by the WBA and I think got as high as number two with the WBC. So fighting for a number one slot with the IBF don't mean shit. He's another Calzaghe, He talks of a genuine title shot but has become engrained in the lesser title culture and will never break out of it.

He likes fighting ex-Mitchell opponents: Vince Phillips had just lost to Mitchell when he fought Hatton. Ben Tackie had just been trounced (and floored) by Mitchell prior to meeting Hatton.

Yes, Vilches, too. Good one Kilburn. Despite all the recent talk about Hatton stepping up, this proves absolutely nothing has changed in the way they choose Hatton opponents.

Football scenario - Man U win their FA Cup semi and end up facing Rotherham who were beat 9-0 in their semi by Arsenal.

Tennis scenario - Roger Federer wins his semi and ends up facing a bloke who got beat in straight sets in his semi. Probably Tim Henman.

This is what we are getting with Hatton-Stewart. They should have gone to purse bids with Harris and bid fornicate all, gone to wherever Manny wanted it and smashed him to bits, as I said a while back. This stinks.

If it is Stewart, I for one will be interested to see how this affects ticket sales. After all, this is the first occasion (as far as I'm aware) where Hatton will be facing a guy that his 20,000 or so followers will already have seen lose to Mitchell comprehensively.
Normally the wool can be pulled over their eyes with regards to opponents as they're not hardcore fight fans, but they will have seen Stewart's limitations with their own eyes. Will they still be willing to put their hands in their pockets...?

Sadly yes. However, Hatton doesn't get 20,000 every time he fights, the standard seating is I think 16,000, and Hatton more or less fills that. The record attendance for a sporting event there was Tyson v Francis, where they got 19,700 I think, and that apparently was with people sitting in the aisles.
