You mean like Lennox and Holyfield? Or Bruno and Tyson?
1. Lewis-Holyfield 1 was a draw, so a rematch was inevitable.
2. Bruno-Tyson 2 only came about through a very unpredictable chain of events. There was no call for a rematch in the wake of their first fight.
There wont be a rematch soon I'm sure but I would love to see one.
Taylor boxed Froch's ears off for a good part of the fight. I was beginning to think it was getting embarrassing for Froch until the last few rounds when Taylor simply ran out of gas. Maybe that was great tactics on Froch's behalf or maybe he got lucky he wasn't in there with someone who could box for 12 rounds. Who knows?
If Taylor could get himself up for a rematch he has a great chance of winning it.
(This is not an anti-Froch post, I admire him greatly for going across to America in his first defence and KO'ing a big name, plus his insistence on only going for big fights - he is great for British boxing)
