Life After Boxing

Post by Hagler2002 »

Tuesday, 20:00 on BBC Radio 5 live

Barry McGuigan and Mike Costello look at how boxers cope with the pressure of giving up the sport and examine why many ex-fighters suffer from mental illness and poverty.

Just heard a trailer for this, they were interviewing Bruno & Benn. Sounded like it'll be a good listen.

The sixty minute documentary is on Tuesday 19th between 8pm and 9pm on BBC Five Live. Then from 9pm until 10pm I join Mike in the studio for a look back at some of the issues, a look at Ricky and a glance to the future.
By the way there will be 3 BBC Five Live boxing hours in June!

Adios and enjoy.

Barry killed a man in the ring and still breaks down when it is mentioned. Nobody gets out of the jungle unscathed

Rhino...I'm not impressed with the timing. It means that I miss Prizefighter.
However, I will be watching it out of the corner of my eye so expect some oohing and arghing!

Adios.
