It is very disappointing. I thought the domestic heavyweight scene might sort itself out a little.

what a shame and a terrible backwards step for Chisora.
The Butlin v Sawby fight was a close one and a bloody good fight - I thoroughly enjoyed watching it.

I will say though I was surprised by the choice of opponent - but good luck to Butlin - he will get some decent dough and in these times that is good news.

Williams is probably one loss away from retirement. He's trying to squeeze every last drop of money he can now.

Exactly. And why not, even if he has asked for double, which he might not have done.

Yep I agree.

Butlin will probably be getting something like 5 - 10 k for the fight and as such its quite a good pay day.

Verbally agreed, possibly. Signed, no. Warren jumped the gun.

Williams has a history of being unprofessional and a notorious pain in the arse to deal with.

i remember the presser for his first snooze-fest with audley when, as audley turned up, he decided to go for a walk around the excel 'because he felt like it'.

not really a surprise that he tried to double his money, but the fact of the matter is, he cannot demand the sort of money he used to as he is not a major draw or an exciting fighter.

A bit unfair. Chisora fight would be given big profile, so he has a right to ask for proper money.

Perhaps FW will sue Williams now for breaking a verbal contract!
If the money is not right Danny why should Danny take the fight?

Yeah also Remember Williams just made a Mandatory Defence so he should be allowed to Make as much as possible from a Voluntary Defence especially as if he loses it'll almost certainly be the Last Fight of his Career. If Warren is sooooo Sure Chisori would win than he Needs to Pay what Danny wants or stfu about it.

Williams vs eaither Rogan or Fury would be a Far bigger Pay Day anyway!

why would warren pay williams more to fight another one of his fighters than the other?

its more likely to be about the fact that danny is trying to play silly buggers by demanding more after an initial agreement has been made. if he had asked for more in the first place then he probably would have got it!!

Different FW fighters have different market value, say fighting Rogan on a big show in Belfast would generate far more cash than fighting Chisora at a half empty York Hall

I hope this fight is still on the expierence of Williams against the youth and power and speed of Chisora i think Williams will have to much ring craft for him but Chisora will make a good acount of himself IMO
