Mouthguard coming out - Rule ?
Mouthguard coming out - Rule ?
OK, Bradley Evans mouthguard just came out and John Rawlins said that the rule is there should be a break in the boxing before it can be replaced. Why is this ? Surely this is ridiculous, if he gets caught flush he's going to lose his teeth ?

So you suggest every fighter in trouble should spit the piece on the verge of a KO?

Its a difficult rule because like Hagler2002 says a fighter who is hurt can spit out there gumshield and save valuable seconds but on the other hand if it comes out accidentaly and the ref doesnt stop it he may lose his teeth or break his jaw but i think if it comes out on purpose he should have to fight on but then how can you tell whens its accidental or not its hard to call

Yep, fair enough.....Didn't think of that, good shout.Hagler2002 wrote:So you suggest every fighter in trouble should spit the piece on the verge of a KO?
I was merely thinking of the instance it occured in this fight, at which point there was no reason not to stop it.

Its not hard to get a gumshield that won't fall out.

So if you don't want to spit you have to get it surgically removed?
