how about this guy for tyson furys next fight

Post by boxerbob »

terry smith 30-6 18kos , from arkansas , never been stopped and has been the distance with....calvin brock , james mccline , kevin jonson and shane cameron

hes 6,2 and aged 37 so hes very experienced and a guy who would give fury a workout and test his stamina.

thoughts???

Good fight for Fury will really test his power and a decent fighter will be a real test think his youth will probably win the fight i think

Needs to get more rounds under his belt first. Tyson has only just moved up to eight round fights and has yet to go past the second round and he was blowing a little tonight, so someone like Smith would be good once Tyson has been tested further in fights and gained a little more stamina.

he's still not getting the rounds in to prove he has the stamina to go further.

It all fine a good doing the 8rnd fights but when they finish in 2rnds, we still don't know how he will fair over 10 rounds should someone take him that far.

Start him small, Kevin McBride for the Irish title

Its still running before walking saying guys like Rogan and Harrison, the lad Tyson is still learning, he needs to find a couple of guys to take him rounds and throw a few back.

Not come in on a 50/50 fight

I'd still say Harrison would win in a 10 rounder at the moment

whats happening with audley havent heard much since rogan. He had the potential to be world champion, just has no kill. Too big headed for his own good too.

Nice idea but Yanks are pricey and unreliable who to say he would bother turning up, visa problems, air fair blah blah, east Europeans are much cheaper.
Mickey Duff used to bring yanks over for a lot for his heavyweights but most modern promoters don't seem to bother for whatever reasons.

terry smith i think is perfect for tyson furys career at this point , smith is durable , the list i gave you have fought at world level and couldnt stop smith

tyson needs rounds , smith will give tyson the rounds he and we need to see how much tyson really has.

his stamina , defence , punch power , ring genralship will all be tested against a very good american trialhorse.

if the fight happend i think tyson would win on points over 8 but it wouldnt be easy , tyson would certainlly learn so much though from this type of opponent

his size and reach / jab would also be perfect in this fight to keep the smaller man away from him , tysons jab was good tonight but lets see it against a better class of opposition
