Unbelievable
I have just e-mailed Sports Network with the following:
"Chaps
What on earth is the intention behind the Enzo press release? Haye v Thompson is a cracking match-up featuring a genuine up and coming fighter against an experienced fighter (who you used to promote). The quotes attributed to Enzo are unfunny, short-sighted and appear bitter.
Regards
Paul Loynes"

Go back to your desk. Frank doesnt want you wasting time on the PC, he wants you to make him a cup of tea.rubberjohnny wrote:Fight Academy saddened, ahh shame. They be positively crying in a hall with 10,000 empty seats and their BBC passport in the horizontal position.
Harry Holland will be the only licence holder on the Beeb after this one!
Still. maybe Audley can get a job in the Arches with Minty!!

How well do you think Scott would do with 'Old Man Carl' then?rubberjohnny wrote:I've just read the Haye Interview in this week's BN (Should read BS!)
Haye said that the best should fight the best and there should be no excuses. Is this the same Haye who dropped his English title and run for the hills rather than fight veteran Bruce Scott, who Enzo Maccarrinelli had sparked out already. Smells like hypocrisy to me.
The English belt is a stepping stone belt. Haye stepped on it, then moved on. Given the choice between a winnable but risky fight that will (rightly or wrongly) put you at fringe contender status early in your career, or a more comfortable fight for a lesser belt, what would you do? I ask what you would do, because we've all seen what Macca would do...

You'd think that his time would be better spent trying to make Sports Network a little more credible than it currently is.
With all the fights that haven't happened, and all the intentional mismatches that have, we've still got some random nobody rubbishing a potentially very competitive fight, something that isn't exactly synonymous with Warren's lot at the moment.
I've only got one question. How old is this guy? Because he acts in exactly the same manner that i'd expect from my 12 year old cousin.

Yep, for what it's worth, I think Enzo is a pretty good fighter, I think haye has more natural talent, but I don't think the gulf is as wide as some might claim.
However, this is just going to incense people, and I don't think it will get a rise out of Haye's people. I feel sorry for Enzo, because I don't believe for a moment that those are his words. If they are his words, then he is a fanny because he is making himself look bad.

Would be wonderful if 12 months from now Haye is a major world champ and enzo is a two time WBU champ (he'll have to regain it after he loses to Nelson in a WBO bid)
Sports Network are classless and have done nothing but con the boxing public this year.
It would be great if as many fans as possible could boycott their shows.

It's all good, and hopefully building into a real grudge match, I'm sure Haye will come back with a few comments over Enzo's level of opponents too - he's as good a talker as anyone.
Enzo's a nice guy, and it's likely Frank's office-boy-Andy has been telling Enzo to keep the insults flying.
Just hope SN have the balls to make the match, but judging their recent dire record with Joe and Hatton, it's unlikely anytime soon.
Enzo would LOVE to beat someone like Carl, but SN would be shaking in their loafers over putting their chinny banger in with a hard hitter like Thompson.

If anyone is going to check up on here, I suggest that they actually check more closely on who said what before issuing threats.
